Hello gkutlenios,
This solution is probably way too late for you, but maybe it will help others with the same problem.
A thin White line (or sometimes lines) running along the long axis of the card, and always in exactly the same place would indicate that the printhead has damaged element(s). This is almost always caused by physical damage due to contamination (particles, grit, etc.) entering the printer. It can also be caused by poor quality cards which have burrs or sharp edges. Replacing the sticky roller at the rear of the printer is important. This can minimise the risk of printhead damage. A new sticky roller is supplied with every new dye film.

The only solution in this case is replacing the printhead assembly.
This is very straight forward. The replacement comes with full instructions, and a special calibration spool for setting the density.

Regards,

MC.

I have a kodak 4600 scanner that has an error " white patch not seen". i have tried to cleaning the imaging guides and calibration as wellthe scanner does not calibrate too please how can i resolve this.

Hello, I had a similar problem. The guides have a white stripe facing the camera (facing the inside of the scanner), the scanner uses this white stripe to define the image. If the guides are in place, and you turn the scanner off, you can see there is a black tape on one of the borders of the guide it is black on one side, and white on the other. You can take the guides off, and check if you can see the white stripe, sometimes this stripe has some scratches, or is not completely white. You can try placing a white piece of paper of the same size as the white stripe on top of the existing white stripe so that it serves the same purpose, if that does not work, you might need to take the black tape that has the white stripe on it, and try to replace it. The scanner needs that white stripe to be completely white. Hope it helps

Tell me the color coding of wall jack to connect cat6 cable to the switch

You can use either T 568 A or B providing that both ends of the cable are wired in the same format. If one side is allready ended thenI would try T568 B standard first.

Image has a white stripe through it, with light black horizontal striping across each light stripe

Go to printer maintenance and perform deep cleaning, do this for 3 times. Then print nozzle check to see which color has a problem. If you still encounter your problem all you need to do is to replace your cartridge.

Color pictures have white stripes on them. The

Try running the cleaning cycle on the printer, either through the printer software or via the controls on the printer itself. Sometimes print heads dry out and cause stripes.

The Print has white stripes

White stripes are caused by dust and toner powder on the scanner window, which is situated in the bottom of the printer, under the drum unit. Open the printer, remove the drum unit and using a soft cloth with a little meths wipe the window clean of toner and dust. It's quite dark inside the printer, so use a torch to find the glass panel (only about 10mm deep x the width of the drum).

White stripes evident each time the printer is started up from cold

Those solid ink machines are designed to be left on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. (it uses about $20 in ink to turn on each time)

When turned off the printhead nozzles can get clogged up with dry ink, which causes white stripes. Running the eliminate light stripes routine purges the printhead (using another $10 or $12 in ink). When it becomes a continuous problem the printhead needs to be replaced....very expensive and time to get a new printer !
