White stripe on face of card
Hello gkutlenios,
This solution is probably way too late for you, but maybe it will help others with the same problem.
A thin White line (or sometimes lines) running along the long axis of the card, and always in exactly the same place would indicate that the printhead has damaged element(s). This is almost always caused by physical damage due to contamination (particles, grit, etc.) entering the printer. It can also be caused by poor quality cards which have burrs or sharp edges. Replacing the sticky roller at the rear of the printer is important. This can minimise the risk of printhead damage. A new sticky roller is supplied with every new dye film.
The only solution in this case is replacing the printhead assembly.
This is very straight forward. The replacement comes with full instructions, and a special calibration spool for setting the density.
Regards,
MC.
