A B LED light denotes that the black ink cartridge is running low.
A C LED light denotes that the colour ink cartridge is running low.

The led screen on the printer will flash a letter E and will then be followed by two numbers:

re -insert the ink cartridge push the artridge locking cover until it clicks into place .

The E05 error indicates that the Fine ink cartridges are either not correctly installed or isn't recognized by the printer. Make sure that the correct CL-211 and PG-210 cartridges are installed. (Refilled or re-manufactured cartridges may not be correctly recognized.)

Check if the cartridges are in the correct slots and that the locking cover is fully seated. (Lift up the scanner unit, lock the support and wait for the carrier to stop moving before checking the cartridges.)

Replace the cartridges with new ones. If that doesn't solve the problem, the printer needs service. If it is under warranty, contact Canon. Otherwise, decide if the service is worthwhile. (There can be a couple of parts that could be at fault; however on this model they are not user serviceable parts.)

e03 is paperjam or out of paper error, make sure you have a decent amount of paper in the tray. open up all the doors on the printer and make sure there's nothing stuck inside the machine.

The error indicates the following : Head overheating error.

Yes it is most likely the print head itself or at worst the logic board.

Replace head/logic board is the only answer.
