Help meeee pls! JVC mini DV cam problems

Hi people. I recently bought a JVC GR D370 mini dv cam corder. And i'm confused. I have a new imac and i want to upload sum footage onto it from the cam. When i hook up the cam to my mac it doesnt even recognise it! do i have to have an SD card to put stuff on my computer or can i just use my mini DV tapes and a usb cord?? im so confused. JVC were no bleeding help at all!! Thanx

Just joking althoe macs are crap tho,you need a firewire cable and firewire support on your mac its that easy,you just plug in and the pc does the rest,not sure about mac thoe cause there crap

GR-D370 Mini DV Digital Camcorder: i have a jvc dr-d370u and i can't format my memory...

This model can accept SD card for up to 2GB only. You may be have more than 2GB card, otherwise there is an internal problem with your camera that needs repair. Hope this helps

Sorry i am also not able to connect my dv cam corder despite of all checks of ieee fireport \ new cable \ new windows etc please help me or thereis some problem with the camera

In this model only you can connect when it is in memory mode.

Hi, connect the cam and PC using 4 pin firewire cable. Switch on the cam. Open Windows Movie Maker and import the video from device.

JVC GR-D370 DV Camera Compatability with Firewire card problem

I loaded it successfully onto my ACER laptop via the built-in firewire. No problems whatsover. Any firewire card should work. Are you having a specific problem?

Usually when the recording is started it takes around 10 to 15 seconds for the camera to recognise and display the duration of remaining tape, if you feel there is a problem, try using different brand tape.
