I have a printer that has its light flashing green and isn't responding to the computer. When turned on the cartridges do a clean then stop in the middle of the printer as if I am going to remove them. When I press the green cartridge button to return the printer head to the right-hand side, it just stays still and beeps at me. What do I do???? I have already updated the driver, removed the plug?? The light is flashing green, and the cartridge stops in the middle. The printer doesn't respond to the computer which shows error in the printer.

What is wrong with my printer?

To pin it down to a hardware fault, you may need to remove the printer from the usb port, uninstall driver and re start pc. Check your printer and faxes folder to make sur there are no other canon printers listed, if so delete. Re install printer driver, then when prompted connect printer to a different usb port and see if windows recognises your printer and is installed ready to use. Try again and if the same problem you know it's the printer thats faulty

Green light flashes on turning on and cant move carridge to change cartridges

  1. Cartridge problem: If the cartridges are not installed properly or are not compatible with the printer, it can cause the green light to flash.
  2. Carriage jam: If there is a foreign object blocking the carriage's movement, the green light will flash.
  3. Power supply: If the power supply is not working properly, the green light may flash.
  4. Electronics: If there is a problem with the printer's electronics, it can cause the green light to flash and prevent the carriage from moving.
To resolve the issue, try the following steps:
  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Check the cartridges and make sure they are properly installed.
  3. Check the carriage for any obstructions and remove them if necessary.
  4. Check the power cord and make sure it is properly plugged in.

Epson cx3600 says not to press ink button unless green on button is on and not flashing but as soon as i turn on it starts to flash

The flashing green light on your Epson Stylus CX3600 printer is indicating an error with the ink system. The error message you mentioned, "not to press the ink button unless the green light is on and not flashing", is likely referring to the ink button that is located on the side of the printer and is used to reset the ink levels.
To resolve the issue with the flashing green light, try the following steps:
  1. Turn off the printer: Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
  2. Clean the ink cartridges: Remove the ink cartridges from the printer and clean the contacts with a soft, damp cloth. Make sure not to touch the ink nozzles or the copper contacts.
  3. Check for clogs: If the problem persists, check the ink cartridges for clogs and clean the print head.
  4. Reinstall the ink cartridges: Reinstall the ink cartridges into the printer, making sure that they are properly seated.
  5. Turn on the printer: Connect the printer to the power source and turn it on.
  6. Check the green light: Observe the green light and make sure it is no longer flashing

Red and green lights flashing, won't print or respond to commands. Problem started when cleaning heads and subsequently testing with the print pattern. Monitor says a general printing error and suggests...

The heads are clogged. Unplug the printer remove the cartridges and dump them (never use the same brand of it or the same ink),pour some cleaning fluid there and leave it to soak. If you have some empty cartridges fill them with cleaning fluid and use them.

Epson Stylus CX3600 error

remove the cartridges then, the press and hold all the available buttons on your printer where it could cause a machine resetting...

you could also remove the cartridges then wipe the circuitry of the cartridge... (the gold-like connector)

then turn off your printer without putting back the cartridges... (leave it turned off for 5 minuets)

turn your printer on then it should be ok

(post back if it doesn't work)

BJC55 Printer not printing

There are some possibilities due to the above phenomena. Let's discuss about it:
1) If the POWER light is flashing green, then your printer is now warming up or performing maintenance procedure (replacing cartridge/tank) or cleaning print head, just wait a few seconds till the light stop flash. Also if the last page of a print job not done, this POWER light flashing green.
2) If the CHARGE/ERROR light is flashing orange with beep 3 times, it mean your cartridge need to be install (especially the 1st time turn on printer) or cartridge being replaced, just install the cartridge and press RESUME to continue.
3) If both POWER light is flashing green and CHARGE/ERROR light is flashing orange with beep 3 times, then your printer may facing a very serious error and maybe need a replacement.

Hope these help.

Canon i560 printer

I have similar problem. I found this solution that may help you. My problem insists tho.

>>> 5 flashes indicates a faulty printhead or possibly a problem with the p/head contacts. Try removing the head which is easier if you take the cartridges out first(no tools required) and re-seat it having checked the contacts for dirt.

If that doesn't work it may be that the waste ink tank is full. Try this ...
Canon S9000, S300, S400, i550, i560, i850, i860, i865, i9100, i9950, PIXMA iP3000 above,
1. Turn off printer
2. Hold down Resume button and press Power button.
3. Keep holding down Power button and let Resume button go.
4. Press Resume button 2 times then let BOTH buttons go.
5. Green lights will flash and then stop blinking.
6. When green lights are solid, press the Resume button 4 times.
7. Press the Power button and the printer should turn off, if not, press the Power button once more.
8. Your printer should respond as normal.
