I'm on my third scope, just got it back from weaver on warranty repairs to the power switch-each time i've had the same problem, the power switch melts, when the batteries are low and it is left on(as in sat it down and thought it was off or in my case the confirmed id of a bail jumper in a fluke situation of stepping outside alone to got a forgotten pack of smokes in a car parked not ten feet from us,when we were on a quick "look and see" bang 5mins work 10,000 grand- 10 mins later push switch to turn off unit and it was mushy, i think that it is designed as a sort of fusable link,so that it protects the unit as it tries to draw more current as volts drop-i've yet to call weaver, even though they have been nothing but kind and very helpful with prior replacements-i'm taking it back to place of purchase,i can't place my saftey in this product,if there is something that i'm missing please inform the uninformed-i like the unit when it works marque99
SOURCE: unit does not turn,I think it needs a
Jemenie!!! Apparently Weaver doesn't know what to do. Call the big boss and give a ear full.
It could be a bad switch, broken wire, bad image tube, faulty ccfl inverter, multiplier. Without some troubling shooting it, it is impossible to tell. stewbison
