To format nokia Nokia 3230 mobile please follow the below steps.

Please download the software called as 'Psiloc System Tools'.

You can download the system tool software from below website

Install it in your phone memory.DONOT install in your memory card because we will be removing the memory card.

Remove the memory card

Open the installed software.

Go to 'TOOLS'

You will find the option called as 'format phone',select it.

It will ask for confirmation, confirm it and it will format your phone.

It will restart while formatting and this process takes several minutes.

Once the mobile is started your mobile is formatted.

NOTE: Formatting will delete all your content from your phone memory.Take back up before formatting.

Formatting the memory card
When a memory card is formatted, all data on the card are permanently lost.
Some memory cards are supplied pre-formatted and others require formatting.
Consult your retailer to find out if you must format the memory card before you
can use it.
• Select Options→ Format mem. card.
Select Yes to confirm. When formatting is complete, enter a name for the
memory card (max. 11 letters or numbers).

Backing up and restoring information
To back up information from your phone’s memory to the memory card, select
Options→ Backup phone mem.
To restore information from the memory card to the phone’s memory, select
Options→ Restore from card.
You can only back up the phone memory and restore it to the same phone.

Locking the memory card
To set a password to lock your memory card to help prevent unauthorised use,
select Options→ Set password.
You are asked to enter and confirm your password. The password can be up to
eight characters long.

3230 memory card corrupted

you want to HARD FORMAT, switch off your mobile phone 1st, then press and hold 3 keys at a time star key, green dial key, and no. 3 key. then switch on your phone.
do not unhold all three key's until nokia's logo come's [hand shake] . it's done. you have to select your city.

Personally I use this phone.
You need to format the phone. To do that press *#7370#
Phone will ask for security code, press 12345 (if you've not changed the sucurity code) , then ok
Phone will restart and will take some time to format. After format you'll find your phone speedy.

Don't forget to back up all your phonebook and other necessary files before format.

The above 3 problems ( automatic MMS sending, slow performance, auto restart, etc) can be solved by formatting.
The process for formatting is :
1) turn on the phone
2) press and hold the 3 buttons ( green dial button + * + 3 button ) and turn on the phone.
3) hold 3 buttons until formatting screen appears.
4) after formatting, it asks for restart.
5) after restart, ur phone is ready as in the 1st bought form .

please do the following ur datas cat be saved you can recover the handset.
1.insert the battery
2.press *,3,callbutton,and power on at the same time for few seconds
3.while the display shows "Formatting" text release the fingers .
4. after completing this please format your MMC and then use it.
this will surely work out

The best solution for this problem is to format the phone memory. U may think format will erase all applications but it is false . The essential softwares like mp3 player, camera, etc. are not erased.
The process for format of phone is :
1) turn off the mobile.
2) press and hold ( green dial button + 3 keypad + * ) and turn on the phone holding these 3 buttons(dial button + 3 + *) until formatting screen appears.
3) When formatting screen appears, just leave the keys. and ur phone is formatted now.
4) When finished, it asks for restart of phone.
5) Restart ur phone, and ur phone is ready.
