Akai LCT2785TA Capacitors blown out

Hi, I have an AKAI LCT2785TA model lcd tv and it won't power on. I've been reading what ppl have said here and I checked the capacitors and they were indeed blown. The tops were split open. I was just wondering if you know where I can get them so that I can replace them. Thanks.

How do I fix akai TV model #lct2785ta? TV screen remains blank and black, after I power it on.

If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors
- Flickering screen
- Screen image disappears after several seconds
- Dim screen
- Slow start
- Power LED on, but no picture
- Unusual colors and/or lines
The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad.
If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced.
New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years.
Check the cables, connectors and connections.
Take it to a repair shop.

I don't remember exactly which ones I replaced.Look at the capacitors on the power board, and replace any that have the top,or bottom bulged out.The capacitors didn't cost much, maybe around $10 with shipping, depending on how many you need.Do you have your power board out?I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thank You very much!

I need help tv lcd akai model lct2785ta

You do know that this model TV takes about 5-10 seconds to come on after you press the on button, right?

Press it once to get the green LED, then wait. If it doesn't display the blue AKAI splash screen within 15 seconds, the TV is not working as it should.

Also remember that this model has two RF input jacks. As seen from the back of the TV, the jack on the far right is the one to use for analog TV, analog cable, coax out to TV from a cable box, or rf out from a vcr.

Don't use the one on the far left. It is for input to the ATSC OTA DTV tuner only.

Most likely there is a real problem with your TV, but in the video, you are pressing the on/off button in rapid succession. That will never work with this model.
