We have a Maytag french door, freezer on bottom Model MFI2568AEB
it just stopped making ice a couple of weeks ago and we can't figure out why. We can get water out of the door so we know water is getting to it and yes the ice maker is turned on and the plastic thing is in the down position. I have read a lot about the water tube freezing up how can I go about trying to thaw it out if this is the problem? Not happy with a frig that was purchased in April of 07 and stop working already. Hope you have some solution for me.
Thanks,
Deb

MY MAYTAGMF12568AES STAINLESS STEEL BOTTOM FREEZER FRENCH DOOR REFRIGERATOR STOPPED MAKING ICE YES IT IS ON AND WATER IS ALSO COMING OUT THE DOOR BUT NO ICE. HELP
I get water from the door but we do not get ice.
Model mfi2568aes, not making ice, water works fine, auger in ice maker works- just no ice. I replaced the main board less than a year ago because front display going haywire and door flapper opening and closing. Now, no ice.
SAME PROBLEM!!! I CHANGED TEMP AS SUGGESTED, WAITING TO SEE... HOW LONG?? HOPE THIS WORKS
I have the same problem, only I can see that the water intake bucket just below the water tube has frozen full of water. I think this happened because we have needed to replace the filter so water has been coming in very slowly to fill the ice tray, and now it has all frozen up. I'm wondering if anyone knows how to get to the back of the ice maker so we can thaw out that frozen ice, so that water can come in. Right now we have just turned the whole fridge off, but then we risk losing everything in the freezer. I'm so disappointed in this fridge, that I spent lots of money for in 2007, and it doesn't make nearly enough ice. We don't usually have enough and definately don't have enough if we are entertaining!
WATER WORKS BUT NO ICE.
From what I have read...you should set the refridgerator temp at no more than 38...freezer at -2 otherwise you will end up with spoiled food quicker. Initially our freezer was set at zero, but the ice wouldn't freeze quick enough before falling into the tray...then the cubes would freeze together resulting in a large clump of ice. Our refridgerator is now set at 36 with refridgerator at -2 and we are having the same problem with little ice development (possibly due to refridgerator being set too low). I am going to try to up the temp to 38 to see if that helps with the ice production. I also know we need to change the water filter, so that may be the problem, too. I will try to make it back to this site in a few weeks to let you know if the ice production improves.
