This may be an indication that your H.O.T 'High Output Transistor' that is the main transistor that supplies the High Voltage to the 3 CRT's when the TV starts up. Just a thought.
Sure! Haven't heard it called that but yeah! Also issues could be that certain components heat up their solder joints and so these joints can come open. Always a good chance that this has happened around very large resistors, coils, diodes. Please make sure before you do any type of troubleshooting to pull power on the set for safety sake.

I think you have a shorted hori output Transistor NTE2324 if it makes a low squealing sound also ck capacitor 114,120,150 if 150 is puffed up on top it is bad 2200uf 16v use 25v and other 2 are 220uf 35v.
SOURCE: rca d52w14 hit power green light blinks three times wont come on
could be power supply problem or high voltage problem. check caps in main power supply first.look for caps that have tops puffed up ususlly three or four.....

Is the High Output Transistor the same as the Flyback transistor?
YOU GOT IT, FRYEMAN. I desoldered and resoldered all the points of that HOT/flyback transformer, and the thing works like a dream again. I couldn't be more thrilled. Thanks a ton!
