When i put my nokia c-300 on silent its still beeps

Please call up your service provider and check if the message center number is the correct number that is put into the phone specially if you have changed any operators.
Once this is correct then the SMS must work.
Open messages,scroll and open message settings, open message center and put in the correct number.

• Create new profile or modify existing profile (Don't modify silent)
• Put vibrate mode on and ringing volume 0

Why I can not get my nokia 6700 to go silent? still hear both ring and message tones?

It will not be completely silent but it become like silent just select the" beep once" tone as your ring tone

You should be able to go into message settings and turn the reminder beep off.You would find this under Message Settings, General, Message Alert.

Just worked it out. If you still need help that is, or for others.

You go to phone profiles then for normal, you click on options, then edit. Scroll along to the right it will be the icon after the message icon. then click down until you get to phone sound volume and then you can turn it down or off.

Setting Message Alerts from page 52 in your manual:
When new messages arrive, you can choose to have your
phone notify you by playing an audible alert. To hear an alert when you receive a new message:
1. Press Menu > Settings/Tools > Settings > Messaging >
Message Reminder.
2. Select On or Off and press .

Steps to follow when the phone memory is full:

1. If the message memory is full you’ll be shown Memory full. Unable to receive messages is
2. To delete old messages, Select OK and Press Yes and the folder.
3. Navigate to the desired message and Select Delete.
4. Choose Mark, to delete more messages. Mark all the messages you want to delete, Choose Options and Press Delete marked.

yes u can do that just go to the messges settings change the messge centre no or delete the no save it u'll be unable send or receive any messages.
