Question about Uniden Cordless Phone

The phone is constantly searching for network

The phone line is fine, as the fax phone works fine, but the 3 cordless handsets all say "searching" and have for the entire day. I made sure everything is connected.

I have a problem with the phone keeping the line busy when I am not using it. If someone calls, it goes to a busy signal and I am not online. Now, the phone ran out of charge and I charged it up, but the screen is blank. Now the other handset did the same thing. The line is "occupied" and unplugging and plugging in is not working to "reset" anything.

    I have no phone now.

It seem that the base is either bad or there is no power supplied to the base from the power adapter. Check and see if the charging light is coming on if it is then you have to replace the base unit and re register the handsets to it. If it is not then most likely the power adaptor is bad. It is difficult to check the adaptor with out a meter but if you know of a way you can try it. If the adaptor is good and there is no charging light on the base then the base definitely is bad. Good luck

Additional information to my comments. It should read :-
It seem that the Main base is either bad or there is no power supplied to the base from the power adapter. Check to see if the charging light is coming on when you place the handset in the main base. If it is, then you have to replace the main base unit and re register the handsets to it. If it is not then most likely the power adaptor is bad. It is difficult to check the adaptor with out a meter but if you know of a way you can try it. If the adaptor is good and there is no charging light on the base when you place the handset in the cradle then the base definitely is bad. If you had a battery contact problem on the main base the extra handset would work and not say searching and the battery on the handset from the main base would run down from lack of charge as a result of the bad contact. Good luck

Quit buying cheap Chinese junk where the only word that exists in there vocabulary is profit. Words like quality and customer satisfaction are non-existence

Yes, you can use a regular 2 line cordless phone with your 4 line corded systems. The only concern is when you put someone on hold. The on hold function may not release if you have different makes of phone. If you already have Panasonic get a Panasonic 2 line cordless phone with the on hold feature.

Yes, you can just take line 3 and plug it into your new fax. I might suggest looking into a fax to email service instead of buying a new fax. If you receive more than send it's a great way to save on the phone line and paper.

Digital phones are pretty secure, no one will accidentally hear your conversations. It is not encrypted but I think it would be perfectly fine in your office.

GE dect 6.0 cordless phone bought at walmart

We had the same problem.

"Our phones worked fine for two weeks but now you can not dial out
and when someone calls us they can't hear we say. The line still works
fine with our old phone1.gif."

To fix the problem, I simply unplugged the base AC plug from the outlet, waited about 15 seconds, and then plugged it back in. Both handsets said searching on the display and then handset names returned to the display as originally programmed. The phones returned to operation as normal.

CORDLESS PHONES FOR THE UXCC500 FAX ANSWERING MACHINE

You can connect up to 4 cordless sets (Operating manuals, page 21, states 3 but they really mean 3 in addition to the one packed with the base, for a total of 4). I've head four connected for over 5 years now and they work fine. In your case, try disconnecting the battery of the cordless for at least 30 seconds, then reconnect. You may also want to disconnect the power cable from the base unit for a half minute or so. I found this method to be equivalent to a cold boot, and quite effective in getting all phones to work again after a storm or power outage.
