Oven and keypad will not work.

After my wife cleaned the oven, the oven will not work, the keypad is inoperable as well. the top part of the range works fine. i checked the circuit breaker in our home power box, and also the plug on the range, is ok. i checked all the applicable troubleshooting tips in the owners manual, but none worked. my owner manual is for the jdp47 and the jsp47 ranges. i could not find a model or serial number on the range anywhere, so i'm not really sure which one i have. any help would be greatly appreciated. john

I finally located the model and serial number. Model# JDP47BOF5BB and Serial# FH4021470.
    THANKS.

I have already checked the circuit breaker and reset it. It is OK. Is there a reset on the range itself? I have not been able to locate one.

    Thanks

Same thing. The oven worked fine for the first year but now it shuts off when the desired temperature is achieved. It then spits out a code of F7. I've reset the circuit breaker but nothing seems to work... The stove top works fine but thats about it..

Longtallez The first thing I would recommend you to do is to reset the power. Locate the circuit breaker for the range and turn it off, wait a few minutes and turn it back on. It works the same way like you reboot you PC when it gets stocked. Let me know if it would not help and we will go further. Gendos...post back

    Next step,
    TURN OFF THE CIRCUIT BREAKER!
You have to remove the face plate. Remove all knobs and switch brackets. After you removed the face plate, locate the ribbon from the keypanel plugged into the control board. Unplug it and clean all contacts with a regular pencil eraser. Plug it back and assemble everything you removed. Turn the breaker on and see if the range works. If it doesn't, then you have to replace the keypanel. By the model number you provided I'm assuming the color for you range is black. The part number for the black keypanel is AP3205170 and you can buy it for a very good price here:http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/clic... If the color of your range is different, let me know and I'll find the part number.

Frigidaire oven won't work. top range works fine, but digital clock and digital display stopped working which works oven, so oven also will not work f11 code

Hello steve o - Typically error code F11 indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the range by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually will clear most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear contact a professional to move forward accurately. Most likely the EOC on the range will need replacing.

tip

Whirlpool oven, stove and range fault codes (ERC and EOC display errors).

Here a list of Whirpool oven fault codes. The codes had been collected from different service manuals. This was a memo that I wrote for my own use. I think this can be useful to owners and technicians.

Keypad has no power. oven is not working

Problem is most likely the control board. This is a pretty expensive part to replace.

After cooking my whirlpool Electric Range started to beep and shows EO F2. The range top is working ( and range top controls ) but the oven won't shut off and the controls are not working for the oven.

Hello,

Here is what my online service manual for the F2-EO error code says

F2 - E0 Shorted keypad (also called touch pad) 1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock)

I hope this helps

Oven is locked on range

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.

F-1 error is a Temperature Runaway. It Maytag's way of letting you know that oven overheated. Nothing you have done but it may have shorted out the oven sensor or the keypad. Check the sensor and see if it's closed. If it's okay, replace the keypad.
