Question about Creative Labs ZEN Vision:M Digital Media Player

Zen the zen i got for xmas has frozen made strange noises it wounldn't respond to any thing so i ended up just letting the charge run out and waiting until the morning to recharge. But in the morning when i plugged my zen into the computer to charge it {again} wouldn't respond to any thing. I'm getting very peed off {to think off a better word} ive only had it for 8 days!!! helpp

There's a little area at the bottom that says, reset, you take a thumbtack, and just pop it in! It will be back to working condition without losing files with no problems!

My zen won't turn on. only the blue light flashes when its plugged in. the screen doesnt turn on. what does this mean thanks

Well you can try this if you still got the zen, press the reste button, dont hold just press it then hold down the power button and it will start up but mine just kept on going black fter a while so i had to put it into recovery mode by doing the following.
Hold down play untill the end
Press the reset button
Hold down the power button
Makes sure you releas the play button last
after that do Reload Firmware i think
then it will delete the firmware make sure you have this downloaded on your computer

its the newest firmware
when you downloaded this plug in your zen into the computer and it should turn on your zen and then say Firmware problem and if it doesnt just put it into recovery mode then plug it in.
Then make sure all application are turned off like Mozzila or the Internet Explorer, then just double click on the firmware and it should fix

Creative zen

First off, download the Firmware upgrade from Creative (http://support.creative.com/downloads/welcome.aspx?nDriverType=4#type_4)

Don't run it just yet!

Now, go into the Zen Micro's Recovery Mode:

1. Take out the battery
2. Press and hold the ON/LOCK button in the ON position (far left) and put the battery back in the player.
3. The player will then switch on - wait until "Recovery Mode" appears on the screen then let go of the ON/LOCK button.

The Recovery Mode options include an option to "Reload Firmware".

Now connect your Zen Micro to your PC and run the Firmware upgrade. Your player should be recognized by the Firmware uploader. If it isn't, then then your player has other damage.

My Zen 8Gb doesn't come on

hey.....i had the same problem too.....but all u need to do is take a straigtened paper clip pin and press in the reset point inside for 5 sec and release and then switch off and switch it on it should work...inacse it does not repeat the same by piercing the pin for more than 5 secs and wait until the screen flashes...hope this helps.

Freezing

That happens to mine, too. What you do is stick a pin through the little reset hole on the left side (under the switch you hold down to turn it on). That should reset the player. If that doesn't work wait until the battery runs out and then charge it.

Creative zen 8gb wont switch on or recharge

I had the same problem. Tried recharging from both PC and mains recharger. Tried re-setting and re-charging. All I got was the blue charging light pulsing on and off. The ZEN would not charge. Eventually I tried a Software re-set. (Slide the on/off button to the On position and hold it there whilst hitting the re-set button). I then tried re-charging and everything was fine. (It did take about 10 - 15 mins recharing from the PC before the device did actually respond, but that is normal after it is fully discharged)

Cannot guarantee the above will work every time or for everyone, but it saved me returning it to Creative and an eight week wait.

I have a creavtive zen v

ZenV Freezes
Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.

try downloading the
MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.

By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?

Try the reset. Poke a paper clip in the hole up by the headphone jack.

Creative Labs Zen MicroPhoto (8GB) possible faulty USB Cable ????

When I had that problem on my Zen I un-installed all the software and rebooted my system and reloaded the software. Not sure why it worked but it did.
