SEC on display of radio/Cd player after changing the battery on our Camry

After changing the battery on our 2001 Camry CSX the radio won't work. SEC is on the display. I don't have the car manual as we are the third owners, previous owner misplaced the book. Toyota dealer will fix it for $80 but I don't think the whole stereo would even be worth that now. Thank You ahead to anyone who can help.

SOURCE: Toyota dashboard CD player won't eject

I had this say problem with my 2000 solara. Here is the fix, remove one of the car battery terminals for a couple of mins (3-4mins). The reattach the battery terminal back. This would make your cd player and car clock reset. once you start your car you should be able to eject the cds. You'll just need to reprogram all your preset radio station. Hope it helps

HI lisasmith566 IT is not a fuse problem .
the problem is your the CD part of the radio

Sounds like a case of selling a car, when the problems
become too stressfull & you bought it

Your shop tried but may not have been
in the upper 10% skill wise

Need the best place around & a
fresh start.

I think they had the battery disconnected
& ran out of knowledge when it can time to
give you the car back.

I won't even guess without the car to test

DOES THE RADIO PLAY? HERE ARE THE FACTORY WIRING COLORS FOR THE RADIO HARNESS, RECHECK YOUR WORK. IF U FIND NOTHING THEN IF THE RADIO PLAYS THE CD PLAYER IS DEFECTIVE, IT HAPPENS BELIEVE ME.
