The CD player has nothing to do with the clock spring your player failed on its own there is no way this caused it to fail

sounds like internal problem with stereo....may need to replace ??

check the fuse

if its a radio shack radio, it means E13 means "Tape Communication Error". It is caused by the
microprocessor reading speed pulses from the tape deck either too fast, most other makes mean about the same thing, normally a stuck tape will cause this code to show up, either that or the drive gear that loads and unloads the tape is broken, cracked, or jammed

You might have to pull deck out from dash enough to make sure all 12+ connections to stereo have power as required. There is more than 1 power connection.
You should have a red with blue stripe wire that has constant +12v, as well as a red,with white stripe wire, that only has power with key on, or in accessory position. (switched) . Double check all accessory fuses and radio fuses as well before.

Change out your ACC Relay. It is located on drivers side behind kick panel in fuse box. It is Black and rectangular shaped. Check for moisture. Many times water comes off driver door Chanel right into fuse box. Open driver door look for holes in front panel. ACC Relay is under 10 bucks at auto parts store.

Go to Best buy- have a new radio installed
