SOURCE: Re: Logitech GT Force Wheel

I don't know what is is yet but i know my power supply is working (~13V) and the power is making it to the board inside the unit, so its internal.

SOURCE: G25 wheel not responding

Hey! I had a similar problem! Only the weel tried to calibrate itself, but itjust "twitched"

So I tried replacing the power cord with a similar one from an older wheel. Didn't work for me.

I opened it up and voilá, same problem as "epicname"! I tightened the screws on the optical sensor and put it back together. Now it works like a treat! So i guess if it's the power cord it won't react, If it's the optical sensor it will twitch, notice it doesn't get a signal and give up from there.

I don't know if this will really help anyone, as they would just send it back to the shop and get it fixed for free. But couldn't find the reciept, and often find it's better to fix things myself than to let the local shop send it to their usual place.

THIS IS JUST A LAST RESORT!! ALWAYS TRY TO GET THE WHEEL REPLACED OR FIXED PROFESSIONALLY!!!

Remove all the screws underneath, even the larger black ones. Remove the steering wheel by unscrewing the bolts on the front panel and the three larger screws under the little circuit board in the wheelhub.

Remove the bonnet. theres a black box on the left engine wich contain the sensor. If it's loose you're able to rattle it. If you're not, the sensor is most likely not the problem.
Unscrew the mainboard and remove the bracket it sits on.
Now the Force Feedback rig should be loose.
Flip it over and pop off the little black cap on the sensor(it's just pushed on)
Put some locktite on and fasten the two screws that hold the sensor mount (unscrew and remove the sensor board so you can get to the last screw)

Put everything back together.

2000 ford windstar steering wheel shakes horribly and I let go of wheel veers to the right

These are two seperate problems. The veering to the left is your alignment. This is cheap, about 80 bucks at sears. The shaking is usually ur transmission or tcs

I have a 2003 F350 Super Duty Turbodiesel and the steering is acting weird. It jerks suddenly at times to the right or left when driving at city speeds.

I would check your track bar bushings. If they are worn it will let the front axle shift from left to right. You will usually feel this as the wheel is almost back to center and it will feel worse on a long sweeping turn where the sudden shift will feel more pronounced.

This ZR4625 is new. It will not track straight. With both levers forward it tracks to the left, I can pull back on the right lever and it tracks ok but it slows down a little. What do you adjust?

First check both rear tyre pressures, if ok you need to adjust the rod that runs between the left lever and the hydrostatic drive on the left rear wheel so that the short lever on the hydrostatic drive travels further when push the drive lever forward. Regards Phil

Steering veers to the left?

Drive slowly down the middle of a straight road, let the steering wheel go and apply the brakes. If the car wants to turn by itself check your ball joints and shocks. If the car remains straight you may have an irregular wearing tire which causes it wonder at higher speeds.
I hope this helps

Poor control...swaying

Hi,

It could be your wheel alignment which usually causes the veering like you described. Have it checked for Alignment - not expensive and also good for even wear of the tires.

Hope this helps, please don't forget to rate my solution,

Thanks.

Stroller pulls to the left

It's a wheel alignment issue - I had the same issue & my husband fixed it. Try removing the front wheel & reattaching it. If that doesn't solve the problem, keep adjusting the front wheel slightly until the stroller no longer veers.
