Can't remove the container from the motor housing

I can not remove the work bowl or the stainless steel multipurpose blade from the base.

It will be the blade holding the bowl on. The blade has become locked onto the motor shaft, in the end you are going to need to replace both. Take it to a K/A service agent.

The motor runs but the shaft that turns the blade does not turn.
Depending on the processor there are a few things that would cause this. If it isone piece then there may be a little gear box or there can be a direct connect from the motor to a coupler of some sort. On the 'bowl' end where the blades are they will be attached to a shaft. So the gear box could be stripped or worn out, the coupler could be loose on the shaft, or the blades are loose. The last two are the most likely. Usually if it has a gearbox it will juice bricks.

You need to see if you just need a replacement bowl or if it is the drive end. This is a bit tricky but you need to remove the bowl (or blender or?) stop the blades with something other than a finger ie a chopstick or knife. Then try to turn the shaft or coupler. If it turns then something is loose on that end. If it won't that means the coupler and blades are still on. There may be a safety on the power/base that will stop it form working without a container so its a bit harder to check. Usually it is just a rod that is pressed down.
It's worth a try but if you just check the container end carefully it will tell you just as well.

Once you know which end is the problem you can figure out what to do with it. If it is the blade and container end. That can be replaced fairly inexpensively. If it is the power end that can be as much or more than a entire new blender. You can get repair parts from the manufacturers repair depots or a repair parts place. A quick search with the make and model and repairs parts should find you several sources. As well you can go to the company website and look for repair under support.

Light comes on but won't pulse or turn "on."
The Kitchenaid food processors have a few safety features implimented. If the unit is not assembled properly, this may prevent the unit from turning on. I am thinking this is an issue of assembly because the light is on, so the unit is definitely getting power.

Proper assembly is below:

If it isn't all ready, please disassemble the entire unit. This means removing the blade and/or disc, blade, removing work bowl, work bowl lid, and blade.

Start by placing the work bowl onto the motor base. The work bowl handle should be facing at 9 o'clock, which is out to your left. Rotate the handle downward until it locks in at the 6 o'clock position, which will lock over the center of the button panel.

Repeat the process with the work bowl lid. The blade does not need to be present for the motor to engage, if this is an assembly issue.

KitchenAid Food Processor 770 won't run
I am assuming the unit is getting power. The "power" LED should be lit up on the front of the unit.

If this has not resolve the issue, please ensure the outlet is receiving power.

If the unit is still not functioning, take a close look at the bottom of the work bowl where it meets to the motor base. The work bowl, when locked in, depressed a gray plastic peg. This is the safety mechanism. You may trying depressing this peg on your own with a pencil. If this activates the motor, this may indicate your work bowl is no longer seating correctly.

Also check the work bowl handle to make sure nothing is cracked. There is a plastic assembly in the handle that acts as a second safety feature.

If either of these things seems to be the culprit, I would suggest seeking a new work bowl or work bowl lid to correct the issue.

I have the unit plugged in and the ingredients in the bowl, but it will not pulse...what am i doing wrong?
I am assuming that the unit is not getting any power whatsoever and this is not isolated solely to the pulse function not working.

I have an Excel that has the D shaped bowl but the base of it is round. Since the Excel does have a round base you can fit any existing bowl onto the Kenwood including their newer stainless steel bowl.

Safety-rod of bowl does not depress microswitch of Cuisinart processor
Cuisinart does not have the original pieces available, but you can order a replacement work bowl, lid, sleeve, etc that will work from the company. First do a motor test to make sure the motor is still working:

First, do a motor test by removing the work bowl completely and using a pen to press in the grey button on top of the base (with the food processor turned on of course), toward the back. If the processor spins, the motor is still good. At that point, I would inspect the work bowl pieces, lid, pusher assembly, etc for cracks/damage. If all appears well, insert ALL the pieces back into place and try again. If even one piece is out of place, the processor will not spin.

If it no longer spins, the motor has a problem.
