I have a logitec webcam that was working just fine. I loaned it to a friend and when i got it back i realized that the image quality was ridiculously low. I cant see myself claerly, just my outline. I can see my actions but my facial features cant be seen. What's causing this?

Re:
Have a look in the seetings in the camera software or windows live and set up the camera again, it may be that the backlight is set too low or set at the incorrect hertz setting.

This sounds like q driver issue with this webcam because I have multiple Logitec webcam and I have no issues try to uninstall and reinstall the driver and check the settings in yahoo messenger
for the voice coming back to u then u have your mic volume up to high for the web cam have u selected it in the settings as you have to tell messenger to use it
If you are using Windows it should automatically search for the drivers needed to install. Another option would be to go to the logitec website and download the drivers needed for your webcam. It walks you through installing your logitec on their site.
Seems not a problem of your camera as the image it records of you is transmitted clearly to the folks you call. Maybe those people should get the same camera you use.
Or it their/your internet connection upload/download speed
Or it is skype - i use skype, but some of my friends move to MSN as they say it supports better quality experience of video chats
