I recently had my mp3 player freeze up upon cable disconnection from the computer. The screen was stuck on disconnect for a long period of time. It eventually turned off about an hour later. Now it will not turn on. The only thing that happens when you hold any of the buttons down is the blue ring light in the center comes on. That's it. The battery should have plenty of juice since it was plugged in for 4 hours previously. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
It might just need to be reformatted. If you don't care about deleting and redownloading everything with songs and videos and pictures, too, then reformat it. Just plug the mp3 player into your computer and right click on the icon in the MY COMPUTER window, and click on FORMAT. It should come to a new window and click on start format. If this doesn't work, then call me to help you any further. Ask for Maxwell at 1-(239)-945-0583.

Try the recovery mode. all you have to do is:
put the HOLD icon on, and press and hold the RECORD button on the side. After about 2 to 5 seconds, it should come to a screen that says its in recovery mode, and make sure that you have the USB setting set to MSC, not MTP. if this is all in place, you should be able to plug it into your computer and wait for it to tell you when to unplug it and it should fix the problem. Good luck!

Try taking the back cover off, remove the battery for a few seconds, then reinsert the battery to reset the locked up mp3

This just happened to me too, only it was not frozen on disconnect mode. The screen did not work, but the blue ring lit up. I did like Wild said- put hold on and held the record button in. Nothing came up so I tried it a couple more times. I thought I would try plugging it into my computer again(only the blue ring lit up when I did this before)and it turned on and the screen worked and everything. Not sure why it did that, but thanks for the help and hope that works for yours!
