Question about LG RU-52SZ51D 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
Hi there.
I am a service tech.
After reading about the this particular l.g. set i decided to llok into the optic engine and
have found that the blue polarizing lense is crook.
Believe it or not but the set will work fine if you remove this lense, alternatively if you remove the lense
and want to replace it. Go to ebay and type in hoya polarizing lense. Buy the 72 mm circular lense.
Then cut it to size and replace it .
Has fixed many of my customers sets.
Hope this helps.

Can anyone confirm if this works? I am trying to find a fix for the blue haze because the picture on this TV still beats many newer LCD's you can buy now. i am also attached to this SET.
i can buy the blue polariser from atleast 2 sites but not sure if it will fix the blue haze issue?

please please help. thanks in advance.....

It is available from: http://www.tritronicsinc.com/cgi-bin/onramp.exe?pgm=itemdet_cs.bbx&id=3141VSN918A&custnum=RETAIL&password=1167684719 for $867.40 -- I'd want to be awfully sure I needed that part before ordering it.
