My webcam was working great till a moment ago, when the LCD Display went off.
It is working fine when I close the LCD Panel. I can view through the viewfinder and take pictures/record video etc.
But when I open the LCD Panel, the LCD screen is blank as well as the viewfinder.
It looks like some of the buttons were pressed during an operation and display went off.
Any help would be of great help.

possibble reason for this error can be the flexible cable FP-185. This flat cable is connecting the display and the main board.

It sounds like your T-Con board went out again. You might re-seat your ribbon cables just in case you didn;t get them in good from the last repair. If that doesn't help I would say that your T-con board went out again.
I just went over the specs on the 42PFL5603D. It doesn't have PIP. I'm sure the guy in the shop was confused with another TV.
There is a software upgrade for that model TV. It wouldn't give you PIP. But, It will fix some of the problems they are have with the TV right now.
Hope I answered your questions.
I have a Westinghouse LCD; model # LTV-20v2SL and it stopped working. I
had turned it on, then it just went off...I tried using different
outlets, unplugging for a moment or 2 and then re-plugging in; nothing.
It was purchased a couple of years ago; fairly new. Any suggestions?
Does the lcd screen have a glow to it ? Or is it really dim if u get real close to screen u can see images moving ?
it it has a glow to it you panel lighting is fine but you control board is bad. If you have a dark screen and see faint images you panel back lighting is out u can check the power with a meter at the connection to inverter board on panel.
To open the tray this is not a perfect fix, but it will allow to use it.
After the unit is powered on:
1)Hit the "Open/Close" button
2)Wait a while (you will get the timing down with practice)
3)Tap gently, yet briskly with fingertips at area in the attached pic, that the red arrow points to
I think the problem is that the tray becomes unbalanced somehow. Because when a DVD is in, the drive opens fine, only when there is no disc do you have to tap on the unit.
