LCD Display is off

Hi, My webcam was working great till a moment ago, when the LCD Display went off. It is working fine when I close the LCD Panel. I can view through the viewfinder and take pictures/record video etc. But when I open the LCD Panel, the LCD screen is blank as well as the viewfinder. It looks like some of the buttons were pressed during an operation and display went off. Any help would be of great help. Thanks, Ravi.

    Hi Arpad,

Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it. I think we are in the right direction, 'coz nothing big happened to get into this situation, my son was taking pictures and he clicked some options I think.
WHat I read from the manual is, don't operate menu items when rotating the LCD panel. I suspect this might have happened.

I spoke to Sony Dealer through various means, and I have to send it out to the factory..and it may cost a lot (with that cost and a bit more I would buy a new one).
Can i find someone who can diagnise and fux this cable problem, if it is?

    Thanks,Ravi

Hello Rk22, possibble reason for this error can be the flexible cable FP-185. This flat cable is connecting the display and the main board. Please contact your nearest Sony Dealer/Service. Best regards, Arpad
