Service Manual of KDP-57WS655 says if TV standby light blinks 9 times then problem is Zero Corssing Detector and you need to replace diodes, D6116 or D6301 which are open on G Board.

If the red light is blinking in front that sasy lamp. Your lamp needs to be replaced. They cost about $100.00 at your TV Fix It shop. Very easy to replace yourself
Indicates a problem with the high voltage circuit. You could try unplugging the power cord, plug it back in and try again. If that doesn't work unplug the power cord again but leave unplugged for at least five hours and try again. Still doesn't work find a local repair shop that works on sony tvs and have them fix it for you.

Hi:
This is a problem with the D-Board, or deflection board as we call it, there are two Ic's that needs replacing that has failed. They are power controller Ic's on the deflection board.
