Question about Zanussi WJS1397W Front Load Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

Controller sometimes fails to move to next program.

When washing, mainly on setting D the washing machine starts, takes on water, but the controller will not move onto the next step. Sometimes if you help it along its ok for a while but then fails again. Tried it on another setting today, went out, came back and it hasn't moved on. When it does work the clothes aren't getting cleaned properly. What do you suggest? Many thanks

Hi my wmf720 hotpoint washing machine fills with water and only turns clockwise once then stops it like it going to kick in to wash my stuff but then just stops any help would be gladly appreciated

if you have a clock type program controller, it should move only when the timer internally moves it to the next set of points in the program
if it just winds on but doesn't do anything, consider replacing that controller
as they are expensive have a technician out to properly diagnose the problem first

My Kenmore 300 model # 11028332700 washing machine filled with water and stopped working. It won't agitate, spin or drain. I've replaced with lid switch and checked the coupling and it's fine. What's...

Possible fault with the water level sensor , it must send signals to the program controller main board to switch on the motor for the wash cycle only when the water level set is reached. Remove the water level controller unit , check the diaphragm with a blow test , it must switch with vacuum , if not replace.

Water will not drain from Beko washing machine, (no power).

If there is no power it seems that the power supply to the control board has failed or the control board itself has failed. You need to trace the voltage to confirm before proceeding further.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors due to feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven starting from the flow of water into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

Kitchenaid washer model kawe742wwh1; when it gets to wash cycle will stop completely.

It ispossible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errorsdue to feedback from the inputs. If this does not happen then thevoltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to novoltage from the controller. This meansthe controller is a suspect. If the machine stops at the wash cycle after the pressure sensor works then it can be the control panel board as the processor or drive is faulty and so there is no output to the motor.
If thewater flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad orthere is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the waterline. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally apressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal tothe program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for themotor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door isshut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.Check thislink to replace the inlet valve:http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/washing-machines/a/7/1408/how-to-replace-the-inlet-valve-on-a-washer-dr.html

Hi i have a Ariston avl 125 and my problem is that i start my machine and i wont stop again.... i just keep on spining ..... it takes in wather but keeps on spining at 2. wash..... hope that you can...

If this is a timer controller type then the contacts or the function to move on is faulty and needs a replacement. The inlet valve works to allow water and then the motor is struck on and not moving to the next cycle. Test the controller to confirm, check with a similar type before you order for one.

I have a problem with my excellence 7.5 washing machine. When it is starting to fill it starts & stops, I advanced the setting to rinse to pump the water out and it also starts & stops. I then...

It seems that the program controller unit is faulty as it fails to advance further. It can be a failure of the stepper motor as it fails to move on - sometimes the grooves fail and so it will not advance the contacts. If so the controller unit must be replaced.

Washer flashing spin light...can't cancel.... tried to reset by unplugging washer, tried starting a new cycle....nothing happens. Can't get door to unlock or washer to start.

It is possible that the machine does not start off the cycle because there are errors or feedback from the inputs. For the program to start up the main program controller must initiate the INLET/MOTOR/DRAIN pump/ valve to open up and allow each function to be driven from the flow into the drum as also the drain valve to open to exit the water at the point of the program cycle. If this does not happen then the voltage at the valve/motor/pump must be checked or the fault relates to no voltage from the controller. This means the controller is a suspect.

Seems that the controller is a suspect as it fails to move forward with the program/ Also check the function before we conclude.

If the water flows then the flow should be good, if not the inlet valve is bad or there is dirt in the filter. Also check the flow at the inlet of the water line. Once the water comes into the system the WATER LEVEL SENSOR - normally a pressure switch- must activate at the preset/chosen level to give the signal to the program controller to switch on the motor. What is most important for the motor to start functioning is that the door switch must be ON when the door is shut or this will be an error for starting the motor for rinse and wash.

Finally after the wash the drain valve will be activated, the water is allowed to come in to rinse and then finally the dry spin with the drain valve/pump activated so as to drain off all the water from the clothes during the spin.

Make sure that a fault in any of the cycle will relate to the specified action, so check the command from the program module and then the executing device be it the valve or motor or pump.

Hi, our washing machine starts to pump out water and then stops. The counter still keeps going but without the machine actually doing anything. The water doesnt drain out sometimes and the no drain light...

Possible failure of the main program controller unit as it fails to contact at times and resets .
Since you mentioned that it is erratic the program is not executed to contact to the job of the cycle and so the drain pump/valve is stopped mid way.

My washer will start to fill w/ water but won't spin. after a while all lights just flash.

It is quite possible that the water level sensor which is a pressure sensor is not activated as the water fills up as this must trigger the next phase of action for the program controller to work.
So make sure that the sensors works if not replace.
The next siuspect canbe the program controller itself as it fails to run the program due to poor inputs or drive failure.
