Question about Vulcan Heating & Cooling
SOURCE: fault code HC01 then flash
I assume the heater has been installed for a year or more therefore, F1is the fault number O4 is the fault code and this 04 means the auto over temp has been tripped due to poor airflow through the heater. (the rear of the heater is getting above 65 deg C)
Check all outlets and remove any filter in the outlets.
Remove the return air filter clean if fitted.
On 4 & 5 star heaters check fan speeds are set correctly on control, low fan 27 to 30 and high fan 35. (download customer manual from climate technologies website) 70% of outlets capacity must be open at any time.
Check if the ductwork has been obstructed in any way.
Have the room fan checked and the auto high limit changed by a qualified person. Have a Carbon monoxide test done every 2 years.
