SOURCE: SyncMaster 203B (Black) LCD Monitor: Monitor will not stay on (Samsung Syncmaster 203B)...

Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

SOURCE: We need your kind assistance for "repair LCD

Around here, it's impossible to buy a "new" 15-inch LCD monitor,
because "used" ones sell for about $30 US.
In comparison, a qualified TV/video technician will charge $60/hour to trouble-shoot.
So, rather than spending money to try to repair it, spend an equal amount of money, and buy a replacement monitor.

Samsung SyncMaster 510N LCD TFT Monitor

Does the monitor remain on does it switch off?
Problem seems to be hardware related ie monitor itself is defective.Try connecting to another known working system. If monitor is defective it could be a power/inverter related issue or panel could be defective.

SyncMaster 510N 15

It might be the connection loose of power cord problem or check your TFT power connector inside the TFT if you can open the TFT screen!!! It may be dry solder….
Other wise go to repairer and do the same….!!!

Monitor goes black

Does it show a picture in safe mode? If it does you might want to install drivers specific to the Monitor if you can find them.
