I think your computer displays a message that ntldr is missing.

Use the following steps to replace these files. Insert the Windows XP bootable CD into the optical (CD or DVD) drive and restart the computer.

  1. When prompted to press any key to boot from the CD , press any key on the keyboard.
  2. Once in the Welcome to Setup screen, press the R key to repair Windows.
  3. Press the 1 key and then press Enter .
  4. Type the Administrator password at the prompt.
  5. Copy the NTLDR and NTDETECT.COM files to the root directory using the following steps:
    1. Type copy d:\i386\ntldr c:\ (assumes the optical (CD or DVD) drive is d) and then press the Enter key.
    2. Press the Y key at the Overwrite ntldr? prompt.
    3. Type d:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\ and then press the Enter key.
    4. Press the Y key at the Overwrite ntldr? prompt.
  6. Once both files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the optical (CD or DVD) drive and type exit at the prompt and then press the Enter key. The computer will reboot.

Mac 0sx 10.5.8

The disk might not have a working OS on it.

It you have successfully run the disk utility the disk probably in full working order. I think that the OS on the disk is either missing, corrupt or not compatible with the computer you are running it on.

Why wont the games load on facebook

Hi,
As much I want to give you the best answer to your concern, I can't since you did not indicate what error message you are getting. But don't worry I'll still give some suggestion regarding your concern. Since you indicate that games won't load in Facebook. If that is the case, the only thing that I can see here is you are missing something. That missing piece is a Flash Player.Flash Player is software for viewing animations and movies using computer programs such as a web browser. All games in Facebook runs in Flash Player. So for you to enjoy games in Facebook what I can suggest to you is install a Flash Player in your computer. But if you already have a Flash Player in your computer and still have difficulties to load games, feel free to reply on this question for me to answer it.
I hope I answered your questions.
Thanks a lot!!

My dell inspiron 530s is booting up but then when I try to access the control panel it freezes up and won't let me do anything. It also does not let me access any of my programs. I try to work with it...

your profile is damaged you could try logging in using another profile or restart your computerDuring the boot process you will see on the screen to press delete to enter setup
Press and hold delete during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart another option

restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer you could select the option start at last known configuration that worked this will tell you if and what file has been corrupted or missing then you will know if its a hardware issue then select restart if the problem still persists f8 back into safe mode you might need to select your operating system to load into safe mode click start control panel administration tools computer management in the left panel events + to expand then system you will see all errors in right panel right click select properties this will tell you what has occurred and the time it occurred you might use the system restore to restore your system to an earlier time click start all programs accessories system tools you should see your system restore option
hope this helps you
