SOURCE: Print Cartridge Detected is the Wrong Type - error message!

It sounds like the contacts on the cartridge sensor need cleaning.

First remove the cartridge, paper and feed tray. Use compressed air such as "DustFree" or other brand of "canned air" to blow all of the dust and toner out of the cartridge well and paper path. Then, using a lint-free dry cloth, clean the metallic contacts where they mate with the contacts on the cartridge. Just gently rub them off to remove any dust and toner residue. Do not use any liquids or chemicals on the lint-free cloth. If you do not have a lint-free cloth, you may use a clean (read new) rubber pencil eraser. After using the lint-free cloth or pencil eraser, spray the contacts again with canned air.

Reinstall the cartridge and paper and verify that the printer returns to the ready state. If it does not, you need a certified HP technician.

How to transfer a video to my Dell computer to be used in Windows movie maker.

You can do this several different ways; 1.) attach the appropriate USB cable to your camera and to the computer, where Windows will recognize your images and ask you what you want it to do with them. At this point, select the 'MS Moviemaker" choice and your video will be saved there. You will be asked if you want the program to delete the video from your camera's memory or memory card. I suggest you select the 'do NOT delete' option until you are sure the file is where you want it saved. Then you should STILL back it up on a disc or flash drive. 2) You did not specify whether or not you had removable memory as part of your video setup. If you do, you can enter it into your 'MS Moviemaker' program by putting into the correct reader; either an 'SD' slot, or by disc drive (DVD drive.) There are fairly inexpensive variable slot memory card readers that you can attach to your computer using a USB cable. Remember, it's not IF a hard drive will fail, it's WHEN a hard drive will fail, Have fun,

How do I transfer the mini DVD to Movie Maker

With your Recorded DVD-R Disc "Finalized", and in the DVD player on your computer, you should be able to browse to your videos with Movie Maker.

In MovieMaker, on the left side where it lists:
Movie Tasks
1. Capture Video
Capture from Video device
Import video . . .

You want to "Import Video", by clicking that and browsing to the DVD-R to find what could be MPG files, or VOB files. They're both MP2 DVD format video and audio files.

Tip: Right Clicking in the Import Video Dialogue Box where the files are listed and selecting View / Thumbnails, will present a view of the scenes in each video.

Transfer Jazz movie to CD

http://www.traveler-service.com/dv5000usflash/index.htm

Try this link for the software. You need the drivers in order to access the
camera, also get ffdshow (latest stable version) from here,

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/ffdshow.cfm/rev__610__20061201

to access the H264 format MPEG4 video that the camera uses for it's video. Once you
have the software (download all from the above link and install) you can
work with about any cd/dvd making (even windows moviemaker and windows
dvd maker in vista), upload to YouTube, etc.

I have just purchased a PHP F/Line HEPC8512. The Microsoft Movie maker installed does not work! Any attempt to drag and drop imported video results in "COM Surrogate has a problem" and program...

Here is a list of requirements for the Microsoft movie maker to work:
Required Equipment:
• MiniDV digital video camera
• MiniDV tapes
• Computer that supports a digital video connection
• Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2, which includes Movie Maker 2.1
• i.Link port (also known as FireWire or IEEE 1394) on your computer
The service Pack 2 is essential in this case and not to be confused with Service Pack 3.

After you meet these requirements, follow this set of instructions to work the Movie Maker 2.1
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/getstarted/movies.mspx

Let me know if you have any problems.

Movie maker is a great program. But since you re-booted(I'm not sure I know what you mean by that) you should go into the settings and see that the moviemaker settings are the same as they were before.
