I cannot use my cell phone inside my house

Do you have a case on your phone? Aluminum cases will reduce signal. What about a tin roof on your house. That can affect it if you are far from a tower. Some models of phones have also had defects causing that. Warranty would cover it.

Did you change phones? Sim cards? I am assuming you have the same phone, and they switched out the sim card (or maybe not?) when you changed plans.

Also, all 4G phones are also 3G and 2G phones, and they simply pick the best available. So if you lose 4G coverage, it will simply switch to the wider 3g network and when you're really remote, drop to 2G. This effects data speed primarily, there isn't any qualitative difference between them for voice and text.

It sounds like you might have something screwy with your sim card when the plan changed happened, I would call T-Mobile or visit a store and ask for a new sim card and be vocal about the poor reception after the plan change. Changing plans shouldn't normally effect reception, only changing phones/networks.

I myself experienced reception issues like yours, and the problem was a bad simcard. I'm sorry for the vague answers, but I think your best bet is to go to a T-Mobile store. They should replace the sim card free of charge.

It very well could be their network. I had that phone for 2weeks before it crapped out on me. The reception on it is horrible.

However I do know their network goes down alot and multiple times a day

the problem is simply from the earpiece of your phone.

You need to replace it for it work again.

the reception quality around your house has dropped, probably because of new high rise buildings in the area or trees interfering with the reception. Best option buy a network booster to improve your reception quality.

take the phone to a mobile shop and have them assist you with that

Call your cell phone provider and they may make a satelite adjustment for the areas you state that are weak.(see if they tell you that your the first one to tell them this about the weak signal)

the wire you use for the antenna is damage replace it or change the set to a other location.
