SOURCE: will not read disc & lots of motor noise

Your problem is a common one. The spindle motor is going bad or is bad, and/or you need to clean the laser lens. The only way to fix this would be to take out the unit and hook it up to a test harness. If you do not have a test harness you will need to seek out an authorized repair depot to do this for you. good Luck Ps Please dont forget to rate this thread.

Hello My turntable do not spin

This turntable is a belt driven type. The belt wraps around the underside of the platter and the drive motor spindle. If the belt has slipped off, broken or is so old that it is slipping - the platter will not turn. Usually you can remove the rubber cover on the top of the platter to use access openings beneath to put the belt back on.

The turntable product brochure, owner's manual and related info is available from Pioneer, here.

I hope this helps!

Screen wont go in on my pioneer avh-p5700

OK,

First of all there could be a problem with your slide in mechanism. This could be a factory defect or it could be that the person who installed the Avh P-5700 didnt install the deck sleeve in correctly. Alot of times we the installers face an issue trying to fit a head unit or slide in tv unit like yours with space, unfortunately some vehicles have a very tight or minimal slide in space for aftermarket radios or units like the AVH. The problem that we face is that when A unit like yours fits in forcefully due to space restrictions it will apply pressure on the units slide mechanism and the protection sensor will push the screen back out because it does not properly fit in , these units are so sophisticated that the slightest pressure will make the screen slide back out or not accept the screen in at all. Try to readjust your sleeve and the space around the sleeve if not my friend you have to get custom, which could be an issue if you dont have the skill to perform these tasks.

Good luck my friend,

Lex...

Some buttons don't work

Pioneer AVIC-D1 Touch Screen Recalibration

If your pioneer AVIC car navigation unit does not register your touches or the wrong button is “pressed”, you need to re-calibrate your screen’s digitizer.

1-Hold the Eject button down until the face of the unit drops all the way
2-Using a pen hold down the reset button (just above the joystick) and the navigation disc eject simultaneously.
3-Release the reset button.
4-Release the dvd eject button next. The display will read “press reset”
5-Push the joystick up two times.
6-Push the joystick down twice.
7-Press the joystick in.
8-The service menu will appear after a short pause. You can navigate the service menu using the joystick.
9-Chose the first menu option and press in on the joystick.
10-Trace the screen with a stylus.
11-"P.ADJ" is the back button
12-Chose the second menu item in order to calibrate the touch screen. Use a stylus again and tap the "+" sign on the screen. (You may have to touch slightly off center if the digitizer is damaged. In which case things will still be off but it will be much better.)
