Maybe the external hard drive is to large to be recognized by your computer. Some computers won't recognize real large external drives.

Another problem could be that your external hard drive does not support Windows 7.

SOURCE: can you tell me anything

The good news is that your computer is up to the task.

The bad news is that there is no guarantee that an Internet stream can be delivered with stuttering or cutting out. Even modern cable and fiber optic cable TV services have this problem and they don't have to compete with Internet traffic. However, a reliable, high-speed internet connection can greatly minimize this problem.

First, make sure that you are using a high speed Internet connection (1 Mbps or greater download. Check at www.speedtest.net)

Next try the free TV shows that TV and cable networks offer on their websites. Google the words: "live TV" to find trial offers that let you sample services.

If you can't get the quality you want you will have to revert to downloading your shows to your hard drive and watching them later.

I hope this helps!

I am using noontec v7 ii, the device unable to read my external hard disk. How can I solve this problem?

gee , just failed now, or never did work is the first time trying it?
tell the story, as that matters. (makes answers 10x more easy)

no external HDD stated, USB? does it have power pack missing,
is it SSD , HDD 2.5" or HDD 3.5" drives (rust drives) make and model of external device matters. (big time)
or using E-sata external.
next what PC is this you posted to computers so it must be that.
so what PC, what OS do you run.,
did you up grade the OS and all USB3 ports are dead.
did you test the ports dead with USB keyboard, to see if the USB port is dead, the best way in the world to test USB is that.

the device above is a MEDIA player, and not a computer
and is a dedicated appliance. and has its own rules.
most devices made, not real computer are very strict on the usage of USB and external file media, (format limits strict and very limited)

what do you mean external HDD.??? inside your unstated PC.?
tell how you wish to use this setup.

the manual shows using the PC to download media files in to the V7 then the V7 can play them on a TV using HDMI.
the v7 has an internal HDD.
the USB port only your PC can be dead, many are, now.
due to owners doing ill advised and wrong upgrades to the OS>
the USB port on laptop are weak, 100mA limits and most things fail on those junky laptops due to weak ports, (non stated by you)

do you have the manual, on V7
its over 8 years old.
if you do, then tell what steps you get lost in the manual setups.
then I can advise, and any errors seen for sure.

I have an HP TouchSmart 600. When it was updated to Windows 10, it no longer recognizes the Mad Dog external hard drive (model: MD-AEN350COM), and does not show it in file explorer.

I'm a bit of an expert on storage systems. (for sure externals)
it's a SATA HDD in a box with USB cable right?
mad dog,
did you :
1: use the power pack for it> (it came with it) use that !!!
do not tell me it works on other PC lacking that pack
we KNOW THAT aND WAY, (POWER ISSUES)

The usb ports can not run that hdd startup currents on vast numbers of Laptops with gutless 100ma usb ports. a fact.
2: next try all USB ports, test the ports with mouse to see that The USB port is even good, at all? next.

it must show up in disk manager first not explorer, its windows and that is a fact. (SEEN IN COMPUTER MANAGEMENT OF CP)
3: are you web connected?, when plugging in the USB cable.
if not , do not expect drivers of any kind to work .
steps:
a: PC on.
b: power pack connected to mad dog, put ear to MD case hear the drive spin, if not the power pack is bad, or the drive is dead.
c: plug on the USB cable last, hear windows(be web connected) go
DINGGONGSOUOND? it not the port is dead, try all USB ports
try looking in DM to see if USB ports are dead, some older laptops have USB3 ports that windows has missing drivers, and must be hand loaded by you to make uSB3 work(ask me how)
so try all USB ports. try a mouse on them all , all USB ports must work with a simple mouse. if not use only those ports that work with the mad dog.

http://www.pcdied.com/external-hdd.html

dingdongsound = ms windows-system-sounds, called DEVICE connect, have volume up, and that enabled and you will get that sound for any USB connects.
try a mouse or usb stick on all USB ports to prove the all work. first.
then play with HDD. external.

What dsks does the CD player play. Does it play MP3 disks?

mp3 is actually a file format that made larger audio files take up less data space. If you have mp3 audio files on a compact disc(CD) it may play it if the player is designed to recognize the format. This was a much bigger issue years ago. Only way to tell is check the manufacturers specifications or simply try it. Good luck.

Panasonic sa pt860

Check your USB memory to make sure that it comply with the points below:
1) USB standard USB 2.0 full speed
2) Media file format support MP3 (.mp3) WMA (.wma) JPEG (.jpg) (.jpeg) MPEG4 (.asf)
3) USB device file system FAT12, FAT16, FAT32
4) USB Port power Max. 500 mA

As you can see
1) You should format your USB in windows format (FAT system)
2) The files on your USB should be those mentioned above on point 2.
3) 2.5" hard drives most likely do not work without an external power supply.

you can download the manual from HERE !

Connecting WD Passport external HD with Belkin N+ router

I had this same issue. Found it to be a sequencing issue. Plug the USB into the router with the power off to the HDD. Power on the HDD and you should be able to get to it fine. Also make sure you have the latest firmware on the router.

My computer wont detect the mp3 and connect

Is the player working normally otherwise?

If so, then try the player in a different USB port on your computer. When plugged in, the display of the Pearl should say that it is connected to a USB device and it will show up automatically as a removable external drive in your windows explorer.

If not, then upgrade the firmware in the unit and the computer will recognize it again. Download the firmware upgradefrom http://voxrightnow.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2243/related/1, and follow all the troubleshooting instructions that popup when you start the program:

start the program,
remove the battery,
hold the play button while plugging into usb,
release the play button the the term "initalizing" replaces "searching",
check the box that says "format data" (you can try it first without this checked, it may work and will save your music),
click the start button to replace the firmware.

After I did this, my pearl started normally, and my computer recognized it again.

Cant recognized on XP

If you are using an USB extension or an USB external hub, get rid of it.

Try plugging the MP3 to a different USB port.

Try unplugging AC charger, and removing laptop batter for ten minutes, sometimes this can fix problems caused by accumulation of electrostatic charges on USB controller.

If that does not solve the problem, test a different USB device on the same laptop, and test the MP3 on a different computer. Either one may be faulty.

If the problem is the laptop you may fix it by removing and reinstalling USB root hub on hardware devices in Control Panel.

Mp3 wont read

Install the CD it came with, if you haven't.
Then, try all of your different usb ports. Some devices need faster usb ports........

Try clicking Start. Click Run. Type in either E;/ or F;/ This is the manual way of starting it. F; and E; are common external drive names.

-OR- Go to My Computer. Look for a picture of your Mp3 player. Click it.

Hope this helps!

Won't Upload Songs

player has problems with windows media player 11. works with wmp 10. player also has problems with vista. firmware was designed for xp. no firmware updates available. you can try dragging and dropping through windows explorer, treating it as a usb mass storage device. it will play folders and songs this way. to get vista to recognize it, format the player through the player's menu ( set-system-format ) not through the computer. take out the battery for 15 minutes. reboot your computer. put battery back in. plug into usb port. hopefully vista recognizes it as usb device
