My Ematic Mp3 player speakers do not cut off, even with head phones in. How do I make it so that it only plays music in the headphones and not the speaker?

Speakers won't turn off. Music plays loud even with head hones in.

SOURCE: Outside speakers won't turn off when I put my headset in.

There is a switch inside the iPod Nano headset female jack that is deactivated by headset the male jack when it is plugged in. The switch deactivates the outside speakers. In your case, the switch is not deactivated so you hear sound from both. Three things may cause the problem that you need to check.

  1. You are using a not compatible headset. Make sure headset used is compatible with the unit.
  2. The headset is not properly inserted. Insert the headset firmly and make sure it sit firmly in.
  3. The switch inside the unit is defective. It may be stuck or broken. Disassemble the unit to check the switch. Insert the headset and make a visual check if it hits the said switch and deactivates it. You may need the help of a person with know-how in electronics.

SOURCE: nano won't play music just through my headphones-

1 Please check the headphones on any other device to make sure that there is nothing wrong with them and they are functioning normally. 2 Switch on the Nano and press MENU 3 Go to settings and go to clicker. It will show 'speakers' 4 Press the center and it will change to headphones. 5 Set it there. 6 Similarly you can adjust the volume.

Sound from speakers is not clear

Try head phones. Are they also not clear? IF they sound ok then its possible your speakers have been damage. Try another source, Music mp3, Cd, etc. Are all the sources the same. If Headphones sound good and speakers bad then troubleshoot the speakers. If both sound bad then troubleshoot the software and settings. Right click on the speaker icon in the task bar and adjust audio setting. Try playing audio with windows media player and then play the same file/song with another software, I-tunes, quicktime, VNC, etc. Does different software play the file correctly and another play it not clear. Then adjust the software settings in the player thats bad. .. .

Apple ipod do not play music in head phone

Your Headphones may be broken. Apple headphones usually wear down over time and eventually break. I would recommend purchasing skullcandy headphones or even Beats headphones depending on your style and budget. http://www.skullcandy.com/ http://www.beatsbydre.com/

When i turn on the system it clearly says file system error and will not allow me to play any of my downloaded music.

It may be protected against copyright. Itunes music can not be played on your ematic. It has to be in mp3 format and must be an unprotected file. I suggest you download the songs from a website. Just as if you were backing them up, of the cds you own and the downloaded music you download on utorrent will most likely play on your ematic.

Music on Mp4 wont pla through head phones,it only

Hi, the problem is going to be with the solder on the headphone socket this isnt the kind of job a novice can do and you would need specialist soldering and testing equipment to ensure that is the cause of the problem.

What you can do is check that the head phone socket has not got anything stuck inside it like fluff or small piece of paper, failing that you would have to take it into your nearest electrical repair shop.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Ipod shuffle cannot hear music through headphones

Hi,

Is it really a Head phone issue? lets find out that first.
If your headphones don't work as expected or not at all, connect the headphones to another audio source, such as your computer's speaker jack or another audio device that has a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack, and test them. If your headphones are under warranty and still don't work, you can order replacement iPod headphones - Link - https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do;jsessionid=1B9ED1B556F0978A6C914A52711E59AA

And about the yellow and green LEDs
The yellow LED shows when the player is charging and a blinking green LED indicates you've paused the player.
At the back is another LED, the 'Battery Status' button, just below the toggle switch; when pressed, it flashes to give you a general idea of how much battery charge remains... green indicates a full charge... yellow, a low charge... red, very low charge... and no glow means its given up its ghost.

Hope this helps :-))

I love my e280! My question is when I am sitting in my office how, or can I, play the music through my computer speakers. I can not sit here with headphones on my head the boss would have a fit!

Plug the player into your computer with the included usb cable, then go to my computer and your player should be listed. Click on it and the music should be in the subfolder labled "music." It should play just fine on Windos Media Player.
