The screen of my Motorola V220 phone has gone blank 3 times and two separate technicians have claimed to have solved it by changing the ribbon each time at great cost. After the second fixing I noticed the camera does not work anymore. I can receive and make calls.
The same problem has now occured a fourth time. I took it to the technician who described a very complex method to resolve which would result in my losing all the information I have on the phone. I decided not to go that route. I got back the phone with the screen working and the explanation was that it just came back after cleaning up the inside of the phone. Three weeks later the screen went blank again.Help !The screen of my Motorola V220 phone has gone blank 3 times and two separate technicians have claimed to have solved it by changing the ribbon each time at great cost. If you have a dead screen: You must Disconnect
the ribbon cable between main case and LCD screen.
be carefull lifting the connector and put it back
in place.
To reach the ribbon cable, you have to disassembly

I would say it's either your screen or the flex cable that is gone. You need to get it to a qualified repair tech to deal with this issue. These motorola v220 phones are nice little phones but very troublesome.
Put your phone in a bag, put it in the freezer... It will might work until it warms up again..
It might be your screen, it might be the body of the phone...
for the screen...
get a TORX 6 screwdriver
take it apart Google for V220 take apart/ disassembly
WIggle the tiny flex cable connector near the hinge.. still no luck ????
Buy another V220 on ebay
gently take the phone apart and sub in the whole screen shell and front of keypad.
DO NOT TRY TO remove the screen from the body section.. you will destroy to the teeny tiny flex cable.
Still problems? then its the body... your phone is useless undo what you did, re-assemble the parts phone, learn how to flash the spare phone..
USB adapter Motorola P2K drivers for XP Motorola or other flash tools enter phone service mode connect phone to pc flash back to V 364 firmware run unlocker flash unlock firmware enter dummy unlock reflash to v365 firmware
There is some pieces on the board inside your phone you broke off when you dropped it.
It will need to be fixed by a technician. Hopefully you didnt brake the flex cable. Have them check the cable before doing anything else.
yo dude take out the chip and battery blow out the ohone with air put the battery in it again let it sit for an hour and turn it on again and it should work
