Can any one help me with how I can take the top of the Motorola apart? I dropped the phone at the beginning of the week on a stone floor, then a day later the display screen on the outside of the phone is just blank. it will light up but won't display the time or tell me who is calling. It's quite damaged and not insured so the dealer won't help me. I read this has happened to another Motorola owner on this site and they were advised to open up the case and resit the cable going to the display, but i'm finding it very difficult to take the top off.
Any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
Get a very small tork screwdriver and take the rubber pads off of the top and bottom corners of the screen. unscrew and do what you need 2 do. ps dont worry about getting the rubber thingys back in they dont really matter except for they silence the pnones snap when u cloze it. I suggest buying a hex wing screwdriver and taking your v3 apart and cleaning it. I had
to do this with mine after i fell in a lake (don't ask!). Use a cotton
bud and go over all of the contacts (don't use any cleaning fluid just
rub it over). This worked for me and removes all of the residue but if
you don't want to risk taking your phone apart then send it to Motorola
for repairs or buy a new phone!
you need to take the phone and have it service but if the phone dropped in water you should not ahve been trying to boot it up that only damages the board more.
Hopefully for your sake it can be fixed
