Why does my grasshopper diesel 928D G-2 keep overheating while mowing?

G-2 928D model-while mowing it gets hot-I let it idle till it hits the green on the graph wait 30 min to go back and mow and it gets hot in 10 min again. Cleaned radiator and screen protector but to no avail continues to over heat.

Make sure the shape edge of the blades is installed closer to the ground. I don't think it matters what the position of the blade is.

SOURCE: MY ******* WILL SHUT DOWN

You have a Ignition Coil (Module) going bad. This is how they act right before they quit completely. You may be able to pick one up used pretty cheap from a small engine shop.

Good Luck!

I have a 1994 f 350 turbo diesel IDI when I try to

Don't just keep cranking if it don't start right away' Give the starter a break. It's getting hot because you just keep cranking on it. Any vehicle diesel has glow plugs to heat the fuel chamber to make it start fast. Be sure you are making use of the glow plugs and it will start fast. If your glow plugs are not working, find out why. Could be just the glow plug relay or connection to it. Or possibly the glow plugs are burned out. Either way, you HAVE to have glow plugs in use on a diesel upon initial start up till it's warmed up. Then will start without them. Most are automated system. You just have to wait till the glow plug light goes out to start cranking on it. I hope this helps you to more understand the workings of a diesel cold start system.

Battery losing charge

Sounds like you have defective diode rectifier. this little box when working properly allows your voltage to only go 1 way to charge the battery. if you have used a vehicle to boost the tractor you have damaged the rectifier. because a vehicle running puts out 14.8 volts lawn equipment is 12 volts only you can boost using a vehicle only if it is NOT running

Sears lawnmower kills after mowing for 10 minutes doesn't restart till rested a long time. Repair man says nothing wrong with it.

That is the symptom of a failing ignition module. With the airbox cover and air filter removed run the unit till it fails. Immediately squirt a shot of carb cleaner into the carb and try to restart. If it restarts see if you can keep it running on the carb cleaner for a few seconds. If it wont restart or stay running then its likely an ignition module. If it does restart and keeps running on hte prime then you have a fuel issue.
Other things to check: spark plugs can fail when they get hot, checkt o make sure the engine stop cable is pulling the bail off ground sufficiently. If the cable has stretched it may not pull the bail completely off ground causing intermitent spark.

1992 chevy truck wanting to run hot and then gets rough idling like it is going to die out have to give it gas

So you attack the overheating problem first before you blow an engine.

Thermostat, fan clutch, water pump, blockage in cooling system or low coolant level are some of the possibilities.

Tempature gauge goes to hot side when the air

your car is overheating...when your car is cool, check level of radiator should be up to the top. Start car and let idle till it gets hot, put hand on upper radiator hose..it should be hot, if its not, your thermostat is stuck closed and this could lead to "head gasket damage" if left in this condition. when you select the heater position.. "this is the correct thing to do in any car that is overheating".. because it takes the water from that system and dumps it into the engine coolant system and helps to cool it down a little bit. So remember when your overheating turn on the heater system till you can pull off the road and get the coolant system checked. can i get a very helpful.

The thermal overload is bad and will need to be replaced,This is there to prvent overheating and when it fails and overheating happens,a secondary overload kicks in to prevent a fire.
