SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player Logo
Buddy Mckenzie Posted on Dec 29, 2006

Fried? I got a brand new Sandisk E250 MP3 player and everything was working fine then wham! All I get now is the Sandisk screen and it turns white and the volume control is lit blue, thats it. When I hook it up to my computer it is not recognized on my computer. I've taken the battery out several times hopefully to reset but it didn't. What else can I do?

All you can do is.. to leave it alone let the battery die and then charge it back up and there you go

Delete everything by formatting it then activate the hold switch, press the power button, turn it on, download a fresh new firmware from the www.sandisk.com site and drag it to the player then connect the player to the computer, then initiate the firmware. try to get the latest one.Hope dis works. Broken Screen?

the same thing happened to me. pretty much, all u can do is go to the place u bought it, and see if u can get it fixed, or to buy another one. the upside of buying a new one is if u ever need parts, like a headphone jack, etc., u get get it from the other one. i suggest getting one of ebay, if u can get a non-functional one with a working screen, it will be cheap and ull get a new screen. hope this helped!

Sandisk e250

Turn off the player after turning it off. Perform recovery mode ( Enable hold switch + Press Record button + Power/Menu button ) until it says welcome to recovery mode and perform the update for the player. Then after doing that you may have to format the player. :D
