I don't know what happened. I got a Dell DJ Ditty for Christmas, and I charged it for 2.5 hours (as it told me to in the manual before using it). Then, I turned it on, I think it may have worked for a few seconds, then turned itself off. But, then I took it to another computer (an older one with more space to download music). I plugged in the MP3 and put somewhere around 20-25 songs on it. I unplugged it from the USB, and tried to turn it on. It wouldn't do anything. It just left me with a blank screen. It seemed to not be working at all. My parents convinced me that the downloading used the charge. So, I pressed reset and recharged it (overnight, so it was more than 9 hours). I woke up and it was fully charged. Now, it still won't turn on. Is there anything that I can do?
I removed the one screw next to the headphone jack and it seems that I still can't take the MP3 player apart. Is their a service manual on this?
Thanks

Hi Katie The problem is the battery. I have had the same problem as you and I found only one way to fix it. I don't know if you want to try this your self but I did it and it worked for me and know my DJ Ditty works great. This is what I did. I took the dj ditty apart and cut the battery out but I left the little circuit board between the battery and the ditty I then bought a battery that goes in a ipod shuffle and soldered it in. The battery is a little smaller but works great. If I can be of any help please let me know.
