Panasonic SA-PT860 standby light on but wont turn on?

Hi, My home theater unit is turning onto standby but when you push the button to turn it on by remote or on the unit itself it wont turn on, it just stays on standby.. Help please Shane...

Okay, that guy is soooo wrong. Do you have your remote? Click setup and click disc and click on ratings and click unlock, just click #8, you may have to do this twice but it will unlock... no taking this apart... good luck :)

Although the Panasonic Home Theater systems are great when they work properly. If your machine displays the "f61" error message, it's likely to be little more than a paper weight for the average person. The inner workings of the machine are rather complex to disassemble for diagnostics. And can take several hours to check all the components. The best advice I can give you is to sell the machine on e-bay as a broken item. If you offer shipping you can get more money for a complete system (speakers & all).

SOURCE: Apex DT250 wont turn from standby (red light) to On (green light)

The DT250 has one or more bad 470uf 25v capacitors. You should replace all four. Look at some of these youtube videos for how do do the replacement.

start with the main unit turned off. Press and hold the button on the back of the swa-5000 module until the light on front starts blinking fast. Then point the remote at the main unit and press 0-1-3-5-ENTER. The standby light on the main unit should turn off then back on. Turn on the main unit and it should find and link with the wireless amp.

I can't turn demo mode off or Standby from flashing on my Sony CMT-MX550i, can't turn unit off without unplugging it.

Sony CMT-MX550i -- I had good results by pressing the "TIMER MENU" button on the remote and simply setting the time. After that, no more demo.

Which is it? It either must be on and wont turn off or it is off and wont turn on. Have you tried the buttons on the receiver itself? Likely dead/dying batteries in your remote.

Lost my remote for my RCA RT2500 Audio/Video Receiver and i cant turn it on because the power button is stuck on standby. I purchased another remote model CRK76 but it wont turn unit on. I also unplugged...

You need to confirm if the power switch is working as the button is stuck . So it is best to get this part corrected before we move to the remote as the power switch or the button aligment can be corrected if you open to check the continuity.

I have a RCA DVD Home theater system and I plug it in and the blue standby light comes on, but when I push it or other buttons on the unit, it just powers off and then won't turn turn back on at all....

Bose 321 series wont play region 1 dvd

To convert Bose 3-2-1 GS Series 2 DVD system to Multi-Region playback

1. Press the Right button on your remote control
2. Press the Up button on your remote control
3. Press the Shuffle button on your remote control
4. Press the Stop button on your remote control
5. Press the Mute button on your remote control
6. The disc tray should eject twice to confirm the region change
7. Press the Standby button on your remote control to power off your machine
8. After one minute, press the Standby button on your remote control to power on.

Done!

Hi, i have 2 televisions different makes both turn on to standby but wont turn on fully, the bush tv when i push programme button to turn on the red standby button flashes but nothing else.

I have the same problem, my Bush LCD worked fine last night but won't turn on today. The main power button on the TV puts it onto standby but the remote or the buttons on the side won't turn it on!....HELP!

I have a Samsung HT-z510 home audio and the wireless receiver for the back speakers stays in standby mode. I have set the mode to cinema but it still stays in standby. What can I check next?

Here is how I reset. Key terms to identify: Main unit, remote unit, transmission card, reset button on remote unit. 1. Unplug both units and remove transmission card from rear of Main unit. 2. Wait five minutes. Insert transmission card in rear of Main. 3. Turn on both units. If units do not communicate, there will be a solid red indicator on remote unit...In this case continue with 4. Use remote and turn off main. 5. Point remote at main and enter the following four digits, holding each down for about a second: 0 1 3 5 6. The main unit should turn on. 7. With remote unit on, press and hold down the reset button for 5 seconds.
