The single cd player comes up with an Error Code of ER-04 when a CD is inserted and returns to the radio selection. When you change modes from radio to CD it does the same, it tries to read, comes up with error code and returns to radio.
The CD player has been working before the car going to the mechanic recently, so battery could have been disconnected.
Tried almost everything to get to work. This has happened before (not with me) so there has to be a cure.

just turn the changer on, make sure it is playing a disk, (and you know whats playing) the press the scan function on your radio til it picks up that signal and lock it in.

Error 01 is normally on most machines to say it cannot read the discs. Could be dirty laser or a defective one. Must open to make better diagnosis.
