That particular virus infection is a SERIOUS pain in the ****. Save yourself a major headache and bring it to a computer shop that specializes in virus/malware removal for a set price of $50 - $100. I've personally removed that virus from several computers and it's very tricky, and great at morphing and hiding code in several places. Not to mention the fact that it will eventually delete all your icons on the desktop and start menu.

SOURCE: Insufficient Memory

Consider this. Your dell came with 512Mb of memory. The dell video card is integrated which means it uses your system memory to function. There are three choices that I can recommend. 1st. Enter your bios & reduce the amount of memory going to your video card. 2nd. You can add a PCI video card which would give you back your system memory. Lastly.
Which is the better choice. Buy another 512Mb Dimm of memory & add it to your PC. This will bring you up to the max memory your Dell can take, 1BG. You can check these two links & pick between them if you choose.
Link One: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=427379&body=MAIN#detailspecs
Or
http://stores.channeladvisor.com/Arch-Memory-Electronics/items/item.aspx?itemid=1884786
Either memory should run just fine & you do not have to try returning McAfee.
Just in case I'm including a link to a PCI video card list.

Hope this helps you decide! Luck.

SOURCE: virus found but not copied / quarantined

Do the following

Go here

http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php

Download free version & run a full scan (it will update first). Remove any problems it finds (may request restart.)

Then go here

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/

and run a free online scan. Again agree to remove anything found (may request restart.).

The time that this could take has to be worth it so be patient.

Neither of these are to be treated as replacements for your AV prog you have in place, I do however recommend you run Malwarebytes on a regular basis. The free version needs manual update every time before you run a scan but it is fast to load and fast to run, housecall on the other hand run less often and the speed of it depends on your internet connection. Two very usefull add-ons though.

If you still have problems then download this

http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-HijackThis/3000-8022_4-10227353.html

Run, save log file and email to me on [email protected] from that I will be able to see if there is any other Malware or spyware affecting your system and advise on removal.

Anyone else reading this post is well advised to do the same as a matter of course. The security of your PC is only as good as the amount of times you run/update you AV prog.

When i click on any application i get an error open with how can i reoslve this?

Without seeing the exact text of the error message I can't tell you for sure what's wrong, but you might have a malware problem. Many of the fake anti-virus programs that can infect your computer will make it behave this way. Any application you try to run results in a message that it can't start because it's infected. And you may be getting "virus scan" windows popping up telling you all the bad viruses it's finding, and telling you need to activate your virus protection. It's all a scam and the only bad software is that program itself.

Download and install the free version of MalwareByte's Anti-Malware. Restart your computer in "safe mode with networing". This will keep the infected program from running so that MBAM can run. Let it update and do a quick scan, have it correct any problems it finds, and this should clear up the trouble.

I need a help how to fix error message coming after starting my windows... "there was a problem starting C:\program files\windows nt\jpeojtix6.dll could u help me please?

From your starting message, most probably your system is infected with "dangerous objects" like malwares, virus, ...etc...

Read this thread, here, to remove "dangerous objects"

Install any antivirus program, update and scan your PC.

Offline very slow, though I defrag weekly, A pop

Sounds like a virus. Try installing Microsoft Security Essentials and Malware Bytes. Run those a few times and see if that fixes the problem. If it is still slow, reinstall windows.

A New problem I face with mcafee Antivirus 8.5.0.i

I agree. Re imaging or reinstalling the windows operating system seems like the only fix at this point since it seems like the anti virus isn't picking up the virus. Back up the files on an external hard drive and just reinstall windows.
