Ps3 put up a error code 8001002B when I put a game in

It all started when I put a new game in I got a good ways in the game and it all of a sudden started freezing up and when I put any other game in I would get this error code has anybody ever had this problem

  • biomori Jan 21, 2009

It started with Fallout but I'd played that for so long I just figured I was making it remember too much but my husband got me prince of persia for xmas and 5 minutes into the tuitorial it freezes up and when I restart it, "an error occurred during during start up (8001002B) I tried a couple other times and sometimes it gave the error code as 80010514. Really sucks cuz my warranty ran out like a week before this happened.

You are going to have to go to System Settings and Restore PS3, this will delete everything but it will start you out fresh and brand new like when you boght your ps3.

I wiped my entire harddrive and restored my ps3, it took 10 hours.........and didnt fix my problem .ive already purchased a new ps bcuz ONLY option sony gives u is 2 send it off pay 150$ n takes 4 weeks.........i strongly urge evryone to not buy a ps3 anywhere than best buy they have an in store warranty program where any problems they cant fix they replace 4 next 2 years..warranty is apx. 60$ but, in my opinion, is worth every penny. i have never been so disrespected by a company than when i contacted SONY.. and if i wasnt a die hard ps fan i would never buy another SONY product(now, will only buy from best buy cuz of in-store warranty)

Ps3 error 8001002B with headset pairing

The code means "dirty or damaged disc". The PS3 has encountered some kind of problem reading the disc. Possibly the laser could be having problems, possibly the disc. Try another game disc. If it works, the game disc you are trying to start is somehow damaged. If it doesn't, the laser most likely has a problem.

Ps3 game won't start it said an error occurred

That error code happens because either the disc is dirty/damaged or the data on your HDD is corrupted.

PS3 Error 8001002b Red Faction "GUERRILLA" Discs

Is the disc scratched?

If so, polish it starting at the centre and rubbing towards the edge, using metal polish (Brasso is good).

Buff off the polish when done in the same direction.

I get the error message on my ps3 :8001002B

I Believe that this means you have a dirty disc. Try cleaning it and starting again if you haven't. IF that doesn't work then the disc has corrupt info on it or is damaged!! I hope this helps!!!

PS3

Try unplugging everything from your PS3 and taking out the disc, keep it off for about 15 minutes and then turn it back on. That should fix it. If not, then call Sony Customer Support. They will have you mail it out, Don't worry they will mail it back within a week, and it will be Good as New. Hope this Helped.
