Don't have any info other than chest freezer is about a 14 year old GE I bought at a church bizzar. When the church folks delivered it in the back of a truck they didn't tie the lid closed and the wind threw the lid up, now it won't spring closed. Model # 7DAA WH Serial # RTI63278, Mfg 8 1998

Most likely it isn't the suction but moisture on your seal freezing to the frame. Suggest a putty knife with a hair dryer blowing hot air on the blade and working it around the seal.
SOURCE: Both springs on lid broken. Lid won't stay up.
Whatever is on the shelf (parts that have not sold yet) is your best bet. Someone in the USA has to have em cause it hasnt been that long out of business.
here's one place to start ( i couldnt get thru)

SOURCE: I have a GE chest freezer and the exterior green
Is this just a "Power-on" light to let you know it's plugged in and has power? This is probably just a "neon" (although the actual gas inside is hydrogen for the green color) bulb and sometimes they will do the flickering thing literally forever. In a way it's a good thing as it makes you look at it. If it really concerns you, or if it is actually a warning that something is going wrong (it should say in the manual, you DO have the manual don't you?) have it fixed under the warranty.

All you need is the model number
It gives you a list of all parts you can buy to replace what's broken, as for the frost try placing a sheet of plastic over the insulation, under the the plastic cover to keep moisture and humidity out of the insulation.
