Ill be detailed as possible. This model Samsung TXN2771HF is notorious for the TouchLite membrane problems, which finally got to the point of constantly trying to change the channel. I finally opened it up, eyeball the wires, disconnect the membrane, and reassemble. Did a quick power on before putting TV back in its place, seemed normal with no inputs, just displaying the input mode in the top left corner. Put the the TV back where it belongs, power on, bam no picture. I then took apart and succesfully reatached the membrane(noted by the constant lit up channel up lights). Reassemble again and plugin but no picture whatsoever, the input mode seemed to work (noted by cycling enough times to hear the 'air' on the tv mode) however no S-Video indication, no 'green screen' when in component mode without signal, just pitch black screen.
I can hear it turning on, the static accumulates on the screen as normal, there is no *click click* then off, it seems like it is legitly on, the power button is respondant with appropriate static charge/discharge when appropriate. Hopefully something just got loose when i physicalled relocated the TV after my "job". I only have basic experience with TV repair, mainly in resoldering broken jacks and what not. Sorry for the long post but this TV is my baby and id hate to replace, seeing as an equivalant with my 7 inputs (1 S-Video, 3 RCA, 2 component, Coax, and monitor outs) is out of my price range...any input appreciated.

Above is your Samsung support site, please go here and download your user manual, so you know all codes etc to service. Then below is a link for a Training repair manual, this will show you how to troubleshoot your issue.
The problem, well symptom, is indicative of a failure in the Horizontal Drive circuitry however what exactly has "Caused" it to fail is what must be determined.,
Using the manuals you should work through all troubleshooting steps, ALWAYS start at the Power Supply, and check if the Voltages there are correct, as if they ate NOT, Nothing else can be...
www.scribd.com/.../Samsung-Lcd-Lb350-650-Training-Book But, trying to repair yourself, is extremely difficult, in any event, so, it is nearly always my professional opinion that one should always get, things attended too by a professional, and obtain a free, "Quote" from the manufacturers recommended service center, Samsung, in your case, please contact a local or head office and ask for a referral to an Authorised service center. I cannot stress how important that last point is. It is even worth the cost of shipping. You see an authorised service agent, will have trained staff, trained on their brand, also they have first hand access to parts, original parts. This will actually save you money and ensure you can actually get it back fixed. Of course asking for a "Quote" also gives on the option of repair or replace.
Good Day, rbls;
This is a generic description of a common concern of this type. 90% of the time if the pic turns a color then turns off it is the picture tube.
If the picture is lost and the pic/screen turns blue it is normally a lost of signal from the TV's source (cable box, vcr,dvd & etc), check all cables, try different inputs & etc.
Good Luck, big IRISH. For more detail e me at [email protected]
