I am getting about the same problem with a used PMH880S. I got a little sound from an RCA input source. Then it cut out. Then I turned up the 2TRN line level, and both mains came on for about 30 seconds and cut out.

My led's show a good signal coming in, but just a very faint sound is getting through.

I don't hear any fan either. I am wondering if there are separate fuses for the amp section and mixer section. I don't even see an external fuse access.

Fan comes on with temperature rise. Not a problem if off till you start driving speakers loud.

Make sure standby switch is up. The slide switch is up to A/B.
The main fader iis up. Your input fader(s) are up. The trim controls are up enough. Inputs are plugged to input and not the inserts.

Be careful... this unit has a lot of power and can blow speakers.

Behringer Europower PMP500 using 1/4 inch cables for speakers?

Question edited for maker.
Question moved from Musical Instruments to correct category.

Running a 1/4" cable has no bearing unless you are trying to run a hundred yards of cable. Check your plugs wiring and connections to the unit. Here is the manual.

How do i connect focusrite to europowered pmp4000

You don't say what item of Focusrite equipment you are trying to connect or for what purpose. Most focusrite stuff has jacks with analog outputs for each channel that can be used into the line ins on the mixer and jack/xlr combos that can be used to take a signal to the focusrite box. Then you get the firewire side for the PC and digital outputs as well which will not be of use with your mixer.

Behringer PMP5000 Mixer. Connected a speakerOn cable to Output A while device was ON. Went to do the same thing on Output B and heard a spark. Turned off the mixer. Now, it will not come on. Checked the...

Chances are you've blown the output transistors. Speakon connectors cannot short out but jack connectors can and if it was not inserted properly you'll have presented a dead short to your powered mixer. In any event it is really bad idea to connect anything when it's switched on. If you're really lucky replacing the output stage (which will probably be dead short on the transistors) and re-adjusting the bias should sort you out.

HOW DO I CONNECT 2 SPEAKERS TO THE MIXER

Unpowered (passive) speakers connect to the Speakon connectors on the back of the unit. Powered speakers or amplified ones connect to the mains output L/R connectors (1/4 inch) near the upper edge of the panel.

My system will not come on. I've put a new fuse in it and I still can't get it to come on?

The power supply is blown and probably one of the amp channels. Repair will be tedious. They take out from 30 to 50 dollars of components typically.

No output power

It is likely the amps have been blown. Take for repair as further use may cause further damage.

Test the mixer by plugging headphones into the main L and R outputs. Note you will hear only one side of the headphone being these are mono outputs. The level will be low, but will check that the rest of the mixer is working.
