There are several ways to incorporate password protection. You can set the computer to require a boot up password in the computer BIOS. You have to enter the computer BIOS as soon as you turn it on; with a Dell press [F2], with HP press [Esc] and select system configuration. In the BIOS you can set the BIOS Administrator password - controls the ability to change BIOS settings, the computer boot password - when enabled it requires the user to enter the bootup password before the computer will boot, and set the hard drive access password - controls the users ability to access a hard drive.

The next level of password protection is at the operating system level - account access levels, privilege levels, and passwords. Dependent of operating system you can also set hard drive encryption

1. Watch for a "entering setup" message in the first few seconds after turning on your computer. This message varies greatly from computer to computer and also includes the key or keys you need to press to enter BIOS.

To access the BIOS Setup program, press the <Delete> key during the POST when the power is turned
on. To see more advanced BIOS Setup menu options, you can press <Ctrl> + <F1> in the main menu
of the BIOS Setup program.

Once in the MIT menu CTRL+F1 should show you more advanced options also.

Actually its not a bios code. Its a password that was been setup during the accessing of its bios. There are two options in setting up such a thing. 1 is for the security of cannot accessing the bios and 2 for not accessing the computer when booting up. Well in your case it was setup in not accessing the computer when booting up. If you set this options definitely you know the password of it. Just type it in the password that you have setup. Then press enter.

Usually, as soon as you restart the computer you will see a message telling you that you can access BIOS or CMOS by pressing the del. button. some computers allow you to access the BIOS with different buttons like F12 or F2. Friendly warning- do not try to change settings if you haven't got any knowledge of the BIOS, as this may ruin a lot of things in your computer, such as the correct laoding of your windows system.

Synopsis: When a Supervisor password is set, access to the BIOS is restricted by default unless the Supervisor Password is entered at the "Password=" prompt when starting the notebook. However, should the User/Power-on Password NOT be set then no such prompt will appear, and access to the BIOS will not be possible.

Solution: To access the BIOS set-up routine in the above scenario it is necessary to start the notebook from cold (not from standby or hibernation) whilst holding down the "INS" key. This will force the "Password=" prompt to appear. After entering the Supervisor Password a small menu will be displayed, and one option on this menu is to access the BIOS set-up ro

Each BIOS has a differrent access key. Try pressing any one of these keys while your computer is starting up: DEL; F1; F12; ESC. its trial and error since i dont know which BIOS you are using, and do it quickly, dont press all at once, one at each start-up. if that doesnt work then look for the prompt to access bios and quickly press the key while windows is starting up. you need to be really quick to do this, once in bios play arround untill you find the bluetooth settings which should be under Advanced Settings. Enable your bluetooth. WARNING: DO NOT MAKE AND SAVE ANY CHANGES OTHER THAN THE ENABLE BLUETOOTH SETTINGS!!. Save the settings and procceed to start-up.

to access the Bios Configuration Setup, On Any PC.
Depending On The Bios Manufacturer i.e Pheonix-AMI et,c.
You press F2 Or Delete Or Esc At The Initial System Boot-Up.
Power On. Press One of the designated Buttons immediately, after starting the computer.this should access the Computers Advanced Bios Settings.
** Please note:- Altering any settings in the bios, can cause undesireable effects to your computer**
Even failure To Start, Or Boot-Up.
From my own personnal experience, it is better to underclock a cpu rather than overclock it.
If a CPU Is designed To Run At a certain speed, running it above it,s designated speed cycle, can damage either the CPU Itself, the Memory Or Motherboard.
Probably wiser, to upgrade The CPU rather Than Overclock It.
