I would suspect either the High voltage distribution block and/or the high voltage transformer as being at the root of your problem, especially with the HOT transistor being bad. If this set went out during a power surge/lightening storm however, all bets are off.

My sony theater system dav-dz310 is waking but no sound. Even l connect the HDMI cable the video is coming but still no sound

Try this and let me know. First unplug the unit. Plug it back in. When you first push the power button, you should hear 1 click followed by another withing 5-20 seconds. My guess is that you don't hear the second click. Am I right?

Receiver doesn't play sound until it's warmed up 5 - 10 minutes

Unfortunately, your question has too many variables. Try this. Unplug the unit. Plug it back in. When you first push the power button, you should immediately hear one mechanical click from the unit, followed by a second click with 5-10 seconds. If you don't hear the second click, the unit may have a condition known as DC Offset. It would be unusual to have DC Offset only within the first 5-10 minutes. It's possible that power supply has an issue where both the positive and negative voltages are not coming up at the same time.

Hello. My name is Dave. Unplug the receiver. Plug it back in. When you first push the power button, you should hear one relay click. Within about 5 seconds, you should hear another click. My guess is, you don't hear the second click. Am I correct?

Tv won't turn on. blinking red light in lower left corner

unplug the television...wait 10 seconds and then plug back in....if you listen carefully after 5-10 seconds you will hear a click sound (the same sound that you hear when you turn on or off) ...once you have heard it, turn the TV on again using the remote. Do not turn on until you hear the click. If this does not work, try again but turn the TV on again before you hear the click. I dont know why it happens but it is as if the TV gets confused as to whether its supposed to be on or off. Most of the time, the solution is to turn it on after the click so I would always try that first.

Won't power up; push power button on, hear click in back left of unti, get nothing on front display and no output from speakers; as if unit trying to operate

Disconnect the speakers and see what happens. Carefully examine the speaker cables for unwanted connections (shorts).
Take a clue from when the power problem appeared. Something was moved and made the buzz a (probable) dead short.
