DVD Problem When I got my dvd,it played dvd's and music cd's with no problem but 3 days ago it started having problems with music cd's.It plays movies good.But when I insert a music cd it keeps stopping or skipping.I dont know whats wrong.I need your help.

Is the movie a store purchased movie or is it a movie that someone copied and gave to you? Computers sometimes have problems reading or playing a dvd or cd that someone else made and gave to you. Try a store purchased music cd or store purchased movie dvd and see if the player plays it.

I am having the same exact issue myself. Starting a month or two ago, it got harder and harder to get PS3 games to play. Now it plays anything that is not blu-ray based. I would be very interested in hearing how you are able to fix the problem.

first of all you need to check your manuel for dvd's that can be played as in burnt. as of right no cd/dvd changers can play dvd that are burnt. cd's can be played if it states on player. only normal cd's and dvd's can be played. also check your disc for marks on them like fingerprints etc. if you want invest in a great player like sony, pioneer, i have no problem with these players.

I have an LG RH278 HDD/DVD Recorder, which was suffering from the problem that it could not play any bought DVD movies, which were previously working fine in that same player. It would however play svcd and DVD+R/-R movie discs.

This was probably caused by an update,just reinstall your DVD encoder/decoder software.

Hello I was looking to try and help you with your DVD player, we will start by loading a music cd store purchased, no burned cds please, if the cd loads and plays then your dvd player is either out of adjustment or going bad, most dvd players, i have worked on, will load and play a music cd, but will show loading errors when trying DVD's. If the music cd dosen't load then there could be an issue with the drive or tray. If the music cd plays just fine, then your laser is either out of adjustment or going bad. You can call the manufacuter to see if there is a process for resetting the DVD player, not all DVD players have this option, if resetting the DVD player dosen't work, but music cd's do then your laser lens is dirty or going bad. At this point you have three options 1) Take it to a repair shop, 2) Get an new one, 3) Get your hands dirty if your really handy and know what your doing to clean and replace the laser. Might be the type of movie - some of them are only able to play "G" ratings. Try this: click <play> 1234 <play> It will likely unlock the dvd that is in and will begin to play. You will have to do the 'code' each time, or there's an unlock program you can purchase.

Generally speaking you could squirt alcohol in your cat or dog's eyes and that will solve the problem.
