Question about RCA P46924 46" Rear Projection Television
I have a RCA 46" rear projection TV ( about 1993 model ). Each time I turn on the TV I have to adjust the colors and focus to get the picture to be viewable. Is there something I can do so I will not have to adjust the picture so I can watch the TV. I am able to adjust the picture when I open the back of the TV and use a screw driver and turn the adjusters on the far right side of the TV. I put a mirror in front of the TV so I can see it. There are 6 different things for me to adjust. I turn them until I get the best picture. But when I turn off the TV it seems to RESET and I have to do it all over again. I do not want to have to do this each time I want to wathc the TV. Please advise on what I can do so save the setting. Sam [email protected]
FIX IT. THE NEW ONES WON'T LAST 2 YEARS

The six controls you appear to be adjusting are the screen and focus controls for each of the three picture tubes. These usually only have to be adjusted as each picture tube ages or when replaced. You may either have a defective "focus block" i.e. the black box you have been adjusting, or the CRT's themselves may be going bad at this age. You will probably be money ahead to just replace the TV with a new HDTV set. At 13 years old, it shouldn't have much life left in it anyhow.
