Question about Panasonic SC-AK44 CD Shelf System
SOURCE: u99 code and tray won't open
Thats a reset code # its on page67 of your owners manual. Unplug the unit for a bit(5minutes) plug in turn on the power then turn off again then back on. If this dosent clear the code, contact panasonic at 800-211-PANA Good luck

SOURCE: dvd tray will not open
Sounds like it's jammed it self up, if you got finger nails try pulling the front on the dvd drive as you push the open button, otherwise look for a little tool of some sort to wedge in the front of the dvd drive to give it alittle movement as you press the open button, it may need a bit, just be careful not to break it lol , if still no luck unscrew the sides and back if it has screws at the back , lift the top off , and push the dvd drive from in there , that will atleast get the disk out, and lets hope solve future problems ,

SOURCE: disc tray 1 is blinking with 2 ovals around it, tray not in right Panasonic SA-HT680
I had a jammed disc that was causing this same error message. To remove the jammed disc, remove the top by removing the screws and then you can remove the stuck/jammed discs. For the Panasonic SC-PT750 there are 7 screws, three small silver ones on the back, then 4 black ones, two on each side, all philips head. Once you have that off, gently pry it off starting from the back, the cover is actually hinged into the front plastic piece of the player.

SOURCE: DVD trays out - Panasonic SA-PM39D
there are very tricky mechanical devices that detect when the trays are closed and in what position they are in
A gear or mechanical piece is not in correct order or not functioning properly and will need intense studying to determine which position they all should be in at door closed , laser mech. position , standby position
can you upload a photo of the inside of the cd mechanism?

SOURCE: cd tray won't open
get it serviced as it happens due to the old band or ring kinda thing in the tray which aids in opening of it.
