The simple answer is, no.
Kinderkraft is out of business. The company had multiple problems with lawsuits and recalls. Subsequently, Kinderkraft changed it's name in 2002 to "Baby Furniture Importers, Inc." but still went through
Voluntary Dissolution during the same year.
There are no official recalls on the
CPSC Crib Information Center website; however, I would, in the best interest of your child, toss the crib in the trash bin and get yourself a new one! Almost all drop side cribs have been recalled and the manufacturers have been responsible for making crib specific kits. The cribs whose manufacturers have gone out of business are sometimes able to be returned for store credit; however, in your situation with a crib that is over 9 years old (as far as being made, since the company has been gone since 2002), I would toss it!
Since the massive recalls, cribs have been redone and you can get a great and attractive crib for as little as $150 delivered to your door for free from
Amazon.

Anyway, I have done a whole lot of research on the crib recalls and even though there was no official recall of Kinderkraft cribs, they are out of business and the word on the street is that they are unsafe. I figure that's enough!
