My sony that i bought used has a parental block. dont know the code. no remote!!

Hello,
You will need a universal remote, however, the master password is 4357. After the master password, you must create a new password, it cannot be used to unlock currenly blocked channels.

Some of the channels are blocked, don't know password

If you set password, out of luck. If no password was ever set then try either all zero's or 1234

I dont remember the password to my sons tv and I dont have the ownwers manual any longer.

Turn the volume down to 0 then change to a blocked channel. (where it asks for v-chip password) Next, on the TV, not from the remote, hold the volume down button, and hold the '0' key on the remote for between 2-10 seconds... the screen should unlock and you should have no V-Chip restrictions.This works on some TVs, if not most.

V-chip block on Jensen JE2269 Digital LCD_TV

If it helps any, I had the same TV with the same Weather Channel issue, also on a boat. It took months of constant contact but they ended up replacing my TV with a different model and after several months with the new one I have had no problems. This started in 2007 (I was the 11-12-07 post) and it took jumping through a few hoops to get the replacement. Good luck.
